Small unit neatly tucked away with the only part that shows is the hand held mic. This unit is strong and hasn’t let me down. Since purchasing 3 friends have all purchased one. Highly recommended!
Installed in my 2016 Jeep JK, put it under the glove box area over as far as possible toward the drive. Was going to install in the space behind the glove box but with a USB port, why waste it? The Mic speaker is a little too loud for me some I just run the speaker on the interface box and it is easily heard during highway driving. Love this thing, through my CB in trash!
Never used Midland products before. Was recommended switching to GMRS over CB and found Midland rated highly. So I pulled the trigger, got radio and ghost antenna. The shipping was incredibly fast and the products installed easily. Very happy with product and service.
Just finished installation in my Gladiator on an overhead rack. Pretty easy other than power cord is short and antenna cable is long...designed more for a center console install. I will have to figure out an extension to get power from overhead all the way to the battery
I own a 2012 Subaru Outback that I camp, off-road and, travel with friends. I got the Micro Mobile to meet my communication needs when going on the OHV trails in the south east. The set up was very easy and the unit performs flawlessly. I like the added USB port so I can still use my phone charger. The unit is easy to use and the built in screen is easy to see in low light because of the blue light. As long as I’m in range the sound is crisp. I use the low FRS channels and will only use GMRS when needed (make sure your get your license for this). The radio is easy to stow inside my center console or if need to completely remove I can do so with ease. GREAT RADIO!
I installed it in my Toyota 4Runner 2015. Pros: It works fine for local stations and weather with provided in original box .antenna. It's not too expensive and pretty small and portable. It has 15 Watts output. Cons: The delivery took forever and though I owned I think about 1 month, actually I only have it for a few weeks. The original antenna and coax cable are small and flimsy. I will replace it with 3 dB Gain Ghost Antenna and mag mount. The velcro that should be provided in the box for the bracket was not in the box, so I had to buy my own from another vendor. I didn't want to use screws. Chat support online is on and off. I contacted them the second day I had that radio, they left me hanging for 40 minutes in the chat room, then I just closed that chat. I mean how long you have to hang online? But your result may vary. So choose for yourself if that's what you need or want.
