I received a non operational unit. Midland was awesome to deal with and promptly sent out a replacement. The MTX275 is able to pull in a lot of chatter from construction sites, public works, building maintenance people, and even random kids popping in and out in neighborhood. Definitely impressed with the little stock antenna and would love to one day mount a bigger one if comes to that. Build quality is good, it's got a hefty sturdiness to it. Can't wait to do a hidden install with a RJ45 connection in the center console for my 4runner!

Great radio for the price. Nice and compact. I love the controls being in the mic so I don’t have to have the radio dash mounted. Stock antenna gets really good range. 7-8 miles of clear transmission in the burbs. More than twice that of stock CB radio.
