I bought this radio a few weeks ago for my son's jeep and loved it so much I purchased a 2nd one for my own. Small, easy to set up and super clear. I also purchased their ghost antenna to keep it low profile. I highly recommend it
I put these in our 4 Overland / Offroad rigs and also in our 2 Polaris RZR's. My brothers and friends also put them in there RZR's. The only complaint I have is that you have to physically turn them on, they will not automatically turn on with ignition power. This is problematic since we stop and shut of our rigs often and have to remember to turn our radios back on when we restart our rigs.
I did some research on a GMRS radio for when on trails and went with MXT275. Has been an awesome decision. Crystal clear and easy to use. Highly recommend it.
Full disclosure, I am a new user to radio communication technology. I did my research and quickly realized Midland was going to be the way to go for me due to their easy user interface on all their radios. I love the simplicity of their radios therefore I would recommend them to anyone that’s beginning the venture into radio communications!!
I have a Jeep Wrangler and this radio is perfect. With the controls being on the handheld, I mounted the radio in an unseen spot to reduce chances of theft while the top is off.
I did not expect the unit to be stout. The hand held is quality. The base and mounting bracket are well made. Very happy with the overall feel of the equipment. I have 3 X-talker handhelds I pair up with this for comms on multi-vehicle road trips...
