Powered up and worked fine the day I received it. But now will not power up. Tried the cigaret style plug, an SPOD and even direct wire to the vehicle battery. Still no go. Shame. I was looking forward to the flexibility this unit proposes to offer. Now I'll have to wait to see if Midland can make this right. Review update when a functioning unit can be fully evaluated.

Originally had a MXT115 in my LR3, anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 275. With the small form factor and easy connections, install was a breeze and the radio is working flawlessly. Midland has really done will with the micromobile series and the handset functionality of this unit makes it my favorite in the family.

Install is super easy and flexible. I love the controls on the mic. Unit feels robust and solid. I've been having a great time listening to the chatter on the repeater channels and used it to stay in touch with another vehicle using a HT Motorola GMRS radio in the mountains outside of cell service. Bonus points for the small details like back light color options.

The radio worked perfect for my ATV. I used a 6 db antenna with a "L" bracket. The radio is very easy to take off of my ATV. I can plug in my midland helmet speaker with mic or any other midland speaker phone I have. And of course I can use it like a handheld microphone stand alone as well. This unit talks much better than my handheld I had been using. A friend saw how convenient it is to use and he ordered one for his UTV. Thanks Midland!

This unit was installed in my Polaris Ranger. The basic installation was very easy. I opted to fabricate a bracket and ground plane for the antenna, so that took me a little longer than usual, but I wanted the optimal range for the radio. We tried it at a location had been really marginal for the handitalkies, but reception in both directions was loud and clear. I'm looking forward to our elk hunt in the late fall, when this unit will really be put to the test.

I got this unit to replace my Midland CB in my Jeep. The clarity and range is phenomenal. with just the included min-antenna, I’m able to reach a repeater 16.9 miles from my house. It’s going to be a game changer when I travel in conveys with other Jeeps and when we get to the trails.
I hard wired mine to power and installed it under the passenger seat. The ability to control the radio from the handset made that possible. Changing the LED color to match my interior lighting was a cool touch.
Time will tell about longevity, but if it’s made like my Midland CB, I’ll be enjoying this unit for many years to come.

I bought this a few weeks ago along with a mobile unit for my truck. My family and I often find ourselves outdoors where cell service is non existent. I wanted something more powerful than a basic walkie. I got my GMRS license and started looking at radios. Quickly landed on Midland products. This radio feels solid and works well. The range has been surprising. Sound quality is great! Midland support is excellent and the manuals are easy to understand. I have a radio from another brand and the manual is pretty much useless.
