Fits well, I like how the flap covers the Apple Pencil. Don’t like that the folded flap won’t hold the iPad upright. This is a key feature every other iPad case seems to do fine. The Apple case leaves the pencil unsecured but can position the iPad itself upright in multiple positions.

I can’t easily push the buttons through the iPad case. It’s very hard to take a screen shot, for example. I’m not sure what the problem is. Maybe the case/plastic will soften over time . Also , it doesn’t stand up well. My first otter box had none of these issues and was great.

This case is not as good as the previous version in one key aspect. It won’t stand up consistently, the flap frequently collapses, the magnet doesn’t hold. I had the previous version of this case for a previous generation iPad and it never fell over, this one falls over 60% of the time at least.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
