[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Background: I'm 6'4", 250lbs and a side sleeper with discs C1-C4 fused in my neck. I've been going the route of buying cheaper pillows ($20-$40) from online stores after I left my Sleep Number pillow at a hotel years ago. I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a pillow again. Recently, however, I started having really back neck and shoulder pain that would both wake me up from a dead sleep and also cause me to be in pain in the morning for several hours. I relented a bought a Tempurpedic when they ran a BOGO campaign. PROS: The pillow did not take long to get used to sleeping on in terms of density and texture. It's a heavier pillow than I'm used to; however, it's still soft enough to comfortably sink into and feel supported. I sleep on my right side and my right arm can go under the pillow comfortably. My neck and shoulders stopped hurting after the second night of using the pillow, and after a couple months of using this pillow, I'm still pain free. CONS: It may be too heavy if you are used to something super fluffy and light. It can be a little warm after sleeping on it for several hours. There was a very distinct chemical smell that was not gone after airing it out for 24 hours. I even washed the pillow protector it came with. It took about a solid week before the smell dissipated. OVERALL: Even with the initial smell and the price point, this has proven to be a great pillow that I enjoy sleeping on. I definitely don't regret this purchase.
