Ultra cool but too lofty

Loved this pillow for a few nights but ended up with a pinched nerve in my neck due to how lofty (high) this pillow sits. I wish I could cut it half because the coolness on both sides is so amazing!

Awful experience with this pillow

We had the older version of this pillow for 7 years, and it was fantastic. Finally decided to upgrade to the new one, and it's not the same at all. The cooling gel is great at first, but heats up throughout the night, and I'd wake up with the back of my head covered in sweat. It also doesn't hold its shape. I'd wake up with my head feeling like it was on the mattress, and was constantly flipping the pillow, which I never had to do with the older version. It gave me such bad neck pain I had to stop using it and go back to the old pillow, and my husband has started folding it in two just to get some support from it, but now he's been complaining about neck and shoulder pain for the last few weeks. I called customer support to ask what our options were, because this is a very expensive pillow to end up not being able to use it, and was told to file a warranty claim since they have a no refund policy on pillows. I filed two warranty claims, but was told that "comfort preference" doesn't fall under the warranty. Not super sure how the pillow not preforming as advertised (not cooling and not offering support to the point of causing severe neck pain) is a "preference," but here we are I guess. I will never buy directly from Tempur-Pedic again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
