The cooling part of this pillow certainly works. Unfortunately, it also makes the pillow somewhat uncomfortable. If you are looking for a luxury, plush feeling pillow, this is not it. There is no softness to it. If you are only concerned about the pillow staying cool, then this is definitely the pillow you are looking for. Another negative is that because the pillow doesn't have any loft to it, it does not conform to a standard pillow case and therefore there is quite a bit of shifting inside the pillow case. Not a deal breaker, but just a pet peeve.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The pillow and Luxe mattress is the perfect combo for a back and side sleeper. My whole body feels like it's being cradled.

Most comfortable pillow I have ever had

This was given to me as a Christmas gift. I am very picky about my pillows. I have a neck injury and have had difficulty getting comfortable and this pillow is a game changer. It is cool on my neck and adjusts to no matter what position I am in. It is absolutely worth the money. If your like me and have neck issues this is 100% the best pillow you will ever own. Don't take my word for it, review for yourself you won't regret it!

Smell of Pillow is Overwhelming

Not the worst pillow, not the best pillow

We have big hopes for these pillows. Tempur-Pedic has an easy ordering process and the pillows were shipped in sturdy boxes to prevent crushing and moisture. I don’t know what material they used to make these pillows, but we couldn’t sleep on them the first night because of the smell. The company says it takes a couple of days. For us, it took about a month to get them to the point where we trusted ourselves to give them a shot. We sealed the pillows in our blanket bags with scented clothes dryer balls to help remove the materials odor. The worked best. Once you get beyond the air quality issue and actually sleep on them, they are pretty comfortable. I haven’t flipped them in the night because of hot spots and they are actually comfortable. I am a big guy, so the pillows supported my neck and head well. My wife is giving them a 4-star and we’re both still wondering if they are safe. The cooling effect seems to work as the entire pillow doesn’t get hot like our last pillows did. The company really needs to find another material that doesn’t smell like you are laying your head on a chemical plant. I live near the Houston, Texas ship channel area and I know what a chemical plant smells like and I’ve worked in polymers/plastic plant. The odor is all too familiar. We have high hopes, so if you have respiratory sensitivity issues, I’d skip this pillow. We’re crossing our fingers these pillows work as advertised.

I purchased medium. A bit stiff but it’s getting better! Not difficult to enjoy at all because next thing I know it’s morning!
