My experience with this pillow didn't start well - when I ripped the tag off, it ripped a hole in the cover. That's just cosmetic though. The pillow itself works well. I usually have to fluff it first to move some of the full around, but after that, my head gradually sinks into the pillow and feels supported. But it's also soft enough to feel comfortable. The cooling aspect will be out to the test during the summer months!

We haven't tried taking out some filler. Haven't had the need. Pillow conforms to your head and neck. Quite comfortable but kind of heavy.

We bought these pillows after purchasing the King Adjustable - cooling pillows for our camper since it has a short queen mattress. Anytime you change sleeping arrangements, it takes time to adapt. Purchasing these pillows for the camper helped us ease into a better sleeping pattern while on the road and them coming back home. A good quality pillow is essential for a good nights rest, no one likes waking up with a pain in their neck. Since these pillows are adjustable, add and remove filler material as needed to get the desired comfort. Any excess you have, store in a zip lock bag for future use.

As with any bedding product, especially pillows, it takes some getting used to these pillows. Most folks get very attached to old worn out pillows and I'm no exception to that thought process. After getting a new Tempu-Pedic mattress, it was time to change out the pillows. You body gets accustomed to certain things and doesn't always react well when it comes to changing your sleeping environment. Long of the short is, I'd recommend these pillows, though they are very pricy, but worth it in the long run. Most important thing is to give them a bit of time - especially if you add or remove the filling, at least 2 months or more so your body will adjust. Since these are adjustable, store any excess filling in a zip lock bag for later use.

Can't tell you if it is comfortable. Haven't been able to use it. It smells soooooo bad. Fills the room up with stink. Had to put it outside. It has been airing out now for almost 2 months, still stinks.
