I purchased to watch pool area from inside thru a window. During the day the vision is very good. At night, especially with lights on in the house, vision is about zero. For use inside only would be fine. I will need to get an outdoor camera for nights.

We are here today to provide you with education to assist you in finding the best solution for your home’s environment.
It sounds like your device is not providing the image you want through a window at night. When your Ring Indoor Cam is facing a window, you will want to make sure your Indoor Cam’s infrared light is toggled off in the Ring app to avoid any glare from the window. The infrared light control is in your Ring app under Video Settings. When your infrared light is turned off, you will need to ensure the area your device is monitoring has another light source, such as a porch light. The video quality from this camera is amazing! Ambient light has little to no effect on the quality of the video. This is an excellent camera!

Crystal clear whole back sliding doors in great room. Sitting high on kitchen cabinet one gets every inch of a wide large great room. Bought a second one both in black blends better than stark whits

Comes with a cover when you don’t want to record

I like the new features with this product. It has a cover that you can open or close so you don’t have to record when you don’t want to. I also like it has night vision which my other indoor cams don’t have.

Excellent Value and Easy to Install!

We have been long time Ring Customers starting with the Ring Doorbell/Camera, door/window sensors, along with Smoke/Fire/CO2 alarms. We recently decided to incorporate an indoor camera. It was a great value and easy to incorporate into our home security network. Great Job Ring.

I bought these cameras as a replacement for another system that stopped working. Setup was fairly easy. Two cameras set right up. I had to reboot my wifi in order to set up the other two. Took a lot longer, but they are working now. Good notification, good pictures, both day and night.
I would recommend this to a friend!
