Good air conditioner at a good price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to get an air conditioner for my Living Room, which is connected to the dining room and the foyer (and a kitchen off these rooms). I settled on a 12,000 BTU size, even though it said it covered 550 square feet. This one cools the Living Room well, and the other rooms get cooler also. Very simple install, fairly quiet. And a very good price (from the local appliance store)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced an old a\c with this Frigidaire unit. Blows ice cold air and cools very well. Looks nice in the window too. Just bought so can't speak for longevity, but Frigidaire is a very solid , highly recommended appliance company.

Easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This window unit has been installed in our family room which is approximately 15 x 18. This unit is a welcome addition to our home. We immediately felt the cool air and I am very happy to have it. The controls are easy to use and the remote works great. There is a choice of recycled air, partial recycled air, and full fresh air. There are different fan speeds or auto adjust and there is a sleep timer. So far very good. Even our dog is happy with it.

Great for large space

It doesn't take long for us to feel that exceptional cool air. It's also quiet which makes it a pleasure to have. Installation was also easy.

Quit and Cool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love it! we put this unit in our sunroom replacing the unit that was there for about 15 years. This AC keeps the room so cool and we can open up the door into the sitting room and let the air flow. The unit has 3 different fan speeds and it has a energy saver mode with great air flow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Air conditioning 309 sq. Ft wood shop. With 105 degree outside temp less than 30 percent humidity will only bring indoor temperature to 80. So far don't have enough experience with normal operating conditions. This type of AC removes heat by removing moisture from the air. The humidity in my shop has never been over 25 percent when starting the unit. It quickly drops below 20 when I turn the unit on 10-15 minutes. So really harsh conditions makes my shop feel great and I can work in it very comfortably.
I have left it on overnight once it did bring it down to 70 and was cycling normally.
I was an authorized appliance repair company in the 1990s . Been working in some type of refrigeration since then . So far the unit meets my expectation with the environment it in operating in. There are lots of consideration to consider when picking out a unit and what to expect from it.
Lastly but not least. NEVER DRILL A HOLE FOR THE WATER TO DRAIN OUT THE BACK!!! ALL ROOM AIR CONDITIONERS ARE DESIGNED TO USE THE CONDENSED WATER TO COOL THE CONDENSER COILS OUTSIDE. THEY PUT A RING AROUND THE FAN TO PICK UP THE WATER AND BLOW IT ON THE COILS.
