My personal thoughts are as follows. I have MULTIPLE WYZE CAMERA'S in and around my home. That being said, this particular brand is not new to me. I have to say that I'm not too fond of the parabolic curve that the camera projects. Second, ALL of WYZE'S CAMERA'S DO NOT give a vary good FOCUSED screen shot beyond 10 feet. Third, I would've like a rechargeable V2 Camera, not one where I had to hire an electrician to install, (V2 is mounted above the the garage, facing the street). Good part about it was the price. BUT, like I said, I had to hire an electrician to install it. I would rate this camera, floodlight setup a 7 out of 10, 10 being SUPER GREAT.
Love everything about this product except if you use the ambient lighting and set it at a lower brightness than your motion lighting, mine both keep getting triggered as soon as the light goes back to ambient light mode. So it’s like a disco party in the front and back of my house. Kinda defeats the purpose and makes for some obsessive notifications if you have them set to alert you as such.
Bench tested it and it worked well. I have not mounted it yet due to back issues. Seems to be built well and I like the way you can adjust the settings with the app.
This flood light was easy to install. It has been very useful so far and I will continue to use these products. I am happy that a friend of mine turned me on to Wyze.
So far so good. My only complaint is that when zooming in the picture isnt very clear. For an outdoor camera I would like to be able to zoom in and still be able to see clearly, since it is a security type item. But otherwise it is great. It covers a very wide area and the lights are amazing. We only have ours on 70% because i dont want it blinding the neighbors, and it is still lights up the yard very well.
Works great, just upgraded from v1 - super-wide field of view, great night vision and better audio. I wish the audio was even better, but that's about it. Seems like it is a learning routine to get the unit to not trigger so often - the light goes on all the time until you turn down the sensitivity or figure out what is setting it off. Would be nice if the app had a log that users/owners could view to find out why the light keeps triggering, but not the camera.
