Floodlight V2

Light is pretty bright. Very satisfied with the motion light part of this camera. Couple problems I have is it took forever to get the light set to come on when it sees motion and go off after motion is gone. Seemed like no matter what setting I put it on, it wouldn’t work correctly. After a couple days it finally “learned” what to do and started working correctly. The other problem is it will not send a notification during daylight. I can walk by it, jump up and down and wave, but it will not record a video as a motion sensed video and notify me as such. I’ve tried every setting I can find on this thing. So I guess it’s just a night time camera. Only working when the motion light is activated. I do like the fact of being able to control the brightness of the light in both the dim mode and the bright mode. And the camera is very clear. Excellent clarity. Just wish it would notify me when it sees motion during the day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stay away from V2 Floodlights.

V2 still Not so good, the PIR is too sensitive even turned all the way down, turns on every time a car drives buy, the plastic is brittle and one light broke after one small storm. They have some work to do with the software and durability of these.

Defective - Doesn’t Connect

I have several Wyze cameras at three houses that I own and they have always worked flawlessly. I also use Wyze night lights, which are positively the best I have ever used. But back to this review…
My purchase of the Wyze floodlight camera has been a real disappointment. Despite having a very good Wi-Fi signal, it absolutely refuses to connect. Unfortunately, I have to go out of town before my 30 day period to return it is up. I guess I’m stuck with it and I am truly disappointed. My phone of Wyze products will reluctantly now end.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New upgrade floodligh camera missing the mark

Nice camera but needs a RTSP firmware option!

Nice size and features with one snag - must have an external facing internet connection for it to work. Was hoping that Wyze would continue to offer their RTSP firmware to allow for local network control and monitoring as I don’t want to use Wyze’s subscription services for monitoring - case in point, their lack of good security and their servers going down at times. It seems they have pulled development of their RTSP firmware and no longer support it. Would be REALLY nice if Wyze allowed its buyers to decide how they want to use the cameras they purchase instead of forcing them to contact Wyze servers to even be able to operate.

Great security/flood light

This is a great security/flood light. This is the 3rd on I have installed. The camera has the perfect field of view. The lights are nice and bright. The ambient light feature is perfect for where I placed it on the front of the garage. I have 12 Wyze camera at the house. I really like all the features. I have the unlimited CamPlus package and so with this many cameras it is a fair price for the features you get.
