I had the previous Wyze Cam Floodlight, and lately the light and camera weren't turning on when they used to, don't know if the PIR sensor was getting tired, or what the deal was. So, the new floodlight came at an opportune time. Quality is noticeably improved, and the wider angle of the camera doesn't mean less detail as it all is crisp and clear. Even the nightvision is impressive without requiring the spotlight, but since I want the light, the one thing I had to adjust was that the gutter produced too much bounce and was washing out the picture, pointing the camera down more took care of that, and now I can even see directly under the camera where that used to be a blind spot.
Easily replaced an existing floodlight with the Wyze Cam Floodlight v2. The lights are bright and the camera works great. The range of settings in the app are numerous so it is easy to setup the unit to your own needs.
I bought this to replace my old floodlight and absolutely love it. Easy to install and easy to use with the Wyze App. The lights are extremely bright and are easily adjustable!! I would 5 out of 5 recommend this to anyone. Great job Wyze!!
Locally recorded events (SD card) are not accessible to shared users. Purchased explicitly because of local recording. I mistakenly believed that there was no need for an ongoing monthly subscription. I am left wondering what the purpose of local recording is.

I have lots of experience with Wyze products and been impressed. This is not one of them. Setup was hard because of a Wyze app issue. It doesn't record short video notifications unless you pay for cam plus. Recording to SD card seems buggy (I get error messages but it still works). To few options to set sensitivity of the PIR sensor. Camera attracts insects during the night even though the light is scheduled off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This floodlight is pretty good generally speaking... I do wish the arms for the lights adjustment were more flexible ( more joints ) and I wish the light could be turned on within the app at will. Also kinda weird is when light is on (normal ) you can't turn it off with wall switch for a few seconds and then back on and have it light up for a short time like a normal floodlight. It just stays non lit, so if you hear something and want to light up the area, there is no way to turn it on unless the motion did it, but that doesn't always happen.
