I’m a newer diyer but not completely helpless. I’ve liked other Worx products and needed something for minor home improvement projects. If the instructions for setup was less like IKEA, ie, diagrams only, and more for those who read above a 3rd grade level, this would have been a great tool. Very frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I needed a portable tool for a very small shop to function like a large deep bandsaw. The unique design of the Bladerunner (thin back support) allows to do it. The saw is strong and stable. The only difference with the band saw is the backstroke of the jigsaw, which requires a proper adjustment of the top holder.
I’m on my second one of these saws, I literally wore the bearings on the first one I used it so much. I install vinyl and wood laminate flooring and is great for using right on the floor where I’m working. The only gripe I have with it is not being able to use the entire cutting edge of the blades as it only cuts on about 1/2” of the blade. Maybe on a future model you could make the blade adjustable up and down to use up more of the blades cutting edge. Similar to they adjustment crank on a table saw. Those blades are expensive and it would be nice to use up more of the cutting edge.
