[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this product for free in exchange for an honest review. I was so excited to get this because my husband and I had been wanting one for when we start going camping, for sports, going to the beach, pretty much any fun activity where you're not consistently around a source of power to plug things in. It's very user friendly even for someone like me whose not very good at electronics. My husband had to help me learn a bit but it was super straight forward. So far we've only used it to charge our electronics and my husband has used it for work while at our son's baseball practices. It's heavy but not a bit deal when youre just going to be in one place. We're looking forward to getting solar panels for it and one of the lights for camping. Our only con is the cover that goes over where you plug stuff in. It's just a little annoying. Maybe if it flipped down and out of the way, and then when you ubplugged everything you could flip it back up. That's pretty much the only thing I would change about it. Super cool product! I would recommend for pretty much anyone to get one since it's so small and easy to bring along places

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I often use this device when working at home in the garage. This is my first essential item. I always use it when there is a power outage, I recommend it to my friends and it is a great gift for my husband.

This is my 3rd Goal zero station. My first was the old style "Bullet shaped" device from about 8 yrs ago!. We live in FL and during hurricane season living out in the country you have to be prepared for trees/heavy branches to fall etc. So far all the Goal Zero items I have bought over the years have worked extremely well. I keep them charged year round just in case any sudden storms pop up.
We live in Oklahoma and this year with record tornado's we contemplated the need for a short term power back up system. Our first conversation was what was a priority. Mine was internet and coffee, with this we can make accommodations to stay somewhere else in a worst case scenario. This unit is perfect for that application. We haven't lost power for more than a few hours in 10 years so protecting for more than that seemed overkill. Going from having NOTHING to staying connected gives us the peace of mind we need.
We have the Yeti 150 and it has served us well. However, the sealed battery is starting to not hold a great charge. We upgraded to the new Yeti 300. This is an impressive upgrade with the new control panel and lithium ion battery. The unit charges lights and power supplies so much more quickly. And, the 300 holds a charge much better than the 150. The new 300 is a great improvement.
We bought recently 2 yeti 300s and a string of lights for our off the grid cabin, 9,700 ft in the Eastern Sierra Nevada’s. Everything works well. The weathered covers on the yeti and requiring to push two button to turn on is a bit clumsy. In addition, the length of the light cords are really short. We now have 4 batteries (2 300s, 1 1000, and I think a 500?$ and a bank of your solar panels. Great product and perfect for our summer getaway.
