(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) An excellent keyboard, overall. I use it for writing, programming, and recreational gaming docked into a mac laptop. Just be aware that the trigger sensitivity is very high, not adjustable (I had attempted with the proper software on a windows computer and for this keyboard you don’t get that option). This might be annoying - especially in the beginning - but you can get use to it after some practice.
After trying quite a few keyboards at Best Buy store (yes you should always try them before buying hehe), and this one immediately stood out, it has the best typing experience by far. If you’ve only used Logitech office keyboards before, this will completely change your perception of what a great keyboard should feel like. The typing feel is incredible. I went with the NX Snow switches and they’re buttery smooth, satisfying, and noticeably improved my typing accuracy.
One highlight is switching between Mac and Windows with Bluetooth is seamless, which is a huge plus. The battery life is also impressive, it lasts a long time without needing a charge.
The only reason I’m not using it as my daily office keyboard for my Mac is that the layout is primarily designed with Windows and gaming in mind. It’s missing a dedicated Option key function and quick emoji access like Logitech offers, which would make it perfect for macOS productivity - but this is just my personal preferences.
That said, I’m honestly obsessed with the typing feel. It’s one of those keyboards that makes you want to keep typing. Highly recommend!!
It is undeniably pricey. However, for roughly an extra $100 compared to other flashy, “wannabe-premium” keyboards, the difference is substantial. In both feel and performance, it is in a completely different league. The build quality is strong and solid, and the ergonomics are exceptional. Typing feels natural and immediately comfortable, your fingers land exactly where you expect them to. The transition from previous keyboard was nearly seamless; there was virtually no adoption curve, and I did not need to consciously adjust my typing habits in any way. The only minor improvement I could suggest would be a more durable enclosure for the extra parts and tools included in the package. That said, this is not really a complaint, just a nice-to-have on an otherwise outstanding product.
I tried out few mechanical gaming keyboards from other manufacturers: Corsair, Razer, Logitech. The MX Snow switches are by far the best both in terms of feeling and sound. I was surprised how bad Cherry MX switches felt and sound. Logitech swithes are shallow and leave some to be desired. Razer's are just nothing special, and even more pricier. If you don't believe me-try all those keyboards yourself at Best Buy's display stand. This keyboard worth its money without any doubt!
One of the best "off the shelf" keyboards that you can buy in a retail store and yet be able to easily personalize it. Its very high quality and works perfectly, the only downsides are the price (buy it only on sale) and the battery could last longer.
