Easy to use when using an online video tutorial

I’ve been relying on a vintage moka pot and frothing wand for my “lattes”
This has been a big upgrade. I was intimidated to learn how to use this, but it was extremely easy once I found a YouTube tutorial video to walk me through.
Be sure to run descaling liquid by Philips to keep your warranty (don’t use vinegar) I descaled with clear water just to start (descale by holding the single and dble espresso button simultaneously)
The milk frothing feature took a moment to figure out with no experience, but the brews and lattes so far have come out beyond expectations.
I have not yet tried the bean grinder, as I hear this can be messy. I will rely on my spice grinder as I get more experience with this machine.
The thermometer feature on the milk pitcher is wonderful. And the espresso stamper feels good in the hand, heavy and nice quality.
My only initial criticism is that the water tank is dark tinted, so it’s not easy to tell that it’s running low unless you pull the machine away from the wall to check. The machine will stop mid brew if the water is low, but there is no indicator. I had to learn this quickly.
As a first time espresso maker owner, highly recommend.

Beginner friendly with high quality espresso shots!

I love the user friendly, modern, and sleek design of this espresso machine and it’s ability to make high quality espresso shots at home. The milk frother is my favorite part as it makes perfectly steamed and foamy milk to pour on top. I’m going to have a lot of fun creating different drinks and learning latte art!

This is a great espresso machine for a beginner or an avid coffee drinker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love love love this espresso machine! It is very user-friendly and makes a great double shot of espresso. I have also tried making the Americano. The reservoir for water is on the bigger side so it’s nice that you don’t have to refill as often. The milk froth is also great and I love the frosting cup because it is temperature sensitive and let you know when your milk is perfect. I am excited to make my lattes in the morning. The built-in grinder takes us to the next level because you don’t have to waste time using a different grinder. I love how you can attach the porta filter basket directly to the espresso machine, so the coffee falls directly into it. The temper is also a great quality and easy to clean.

Grinder is great with adjustable coarseness and pulls a fantastic shot of espresso. Love that it included everything needed in one box. So happy to add this to my home coffee lineup.

Great all around espresso machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My fiancée and I very much enjoy a well made espresso, but didn’t want all the extra fancy pieces to make them due to limited space in our small apartment.
What I like about this espresso machine is it has the grinder built in, the tamper included and it’s very easy to switch between different grind sizes. And a huge bonus it comes with a mild frother cup and the frother built right in!

The cleaning all seems pretty straightforward as well and the instructions/cleaning supplies included seem very easy to understand when we get to the point in needing to clean the machine (descale,etc).
It’s a little on the pricey side compared to others, we have used a Breville barista and the two are similar and different. One added feature the Philips has is an option to just pull/do a straight americano which I found cool.
All in all I love the sleek design, the buttons are easy to operate, and the machine is a great beginning for new espresso users!
