The camera Def has a very wide angle of view which gets the entire back yard. The light is very very bright and anywhere ypu point the lights also had IR at night without the light on which lights up the whole yard in pitch dark. The only downside is the "Ambient light" is still very bright even on setting 1. But 100 is like construction zone bright! Audio is clear, sensor works well, detection zones are good once set up. I could go on and on about it. Wyze had 1 day of downtime on thier end since I've purchased this approx 2 weeks ago.
I get way too many alerts for bugs flying and trees waving. I configured detection zones to avoid the tree waving issue but it still alerts on the shadows on the ground of the trees waving when the sun is out, this is an area I want under surveillance.
I like the hardware, it mounts securely to the junction box, seems weather sealed. I like the light controls, the "idle" and "movement" brightness settings. Great image. Seems to drop very frequently, compared to my Wyze pan/tilt that was there before. I'll be debugging that a bit, and might revise my review upward -- but maybe not.
Not sure I like the new(er) devices using bluetooth to define network info (rather than the QR code), but I do like the device! The lights are brighter (and able to be individually aimed) than my previous LED porch lights (normal 2-light with PIR arrangement). Having a bit of difficulty getting the sensitivity setting correct (want the lights to go on when one of our dogs goes out at night). This is a better solution than just covering the area with one of the normal cameras-- no extra wiring, etc. Going to use a second unit to replace a flood light on a farm outbuilding.
I was hoping there would still be a usb port to add another camera. The photocell is sensitive and light turns on when it is still very light out. Wide angle and light positions are good. connection is very good.
