[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had technicians out here three times already. The motor that opens the dishwasher was stuck for days. Dishwasher flooded area under our kitchen sink. So much water left in the dishwasher even after letting them air dry for two days. Plastic items remain wet. When we shared the correct serial and model numbers no one believed us. Whirlpool even hung up on me even though I was kind to them.

Plusses and shortcomings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This top-of-the-line KitchenAid dishwasher was purchased to replace a top-of-the-line KitchenAid dishwasher purchased in 1994. We have been away about half as long (30 days) as we have had the available use of the new DW (+/- 60 days). We have found this DW much more difficult to load than its predecessor - space between up-right prongs are either too close or too far apart to allow our normal dinner plates and related dishes to fit easily. Also, its predecessor accommodated quite a bit more dishware along with baking type dishes, etc. Not sure what the problem is?? On the positive side, it is relatively quiet and does a nice job in providing clean and dry dishes without prerinsing (other than removing any chunks of debris). Also, the custom front panel from its predecessor fit beautifully so the new DW feels and looks quite at home in its new environment.

Check for leaks

MY DW is about four years old. I actually loved this little piece of machinery! It held most all the dishes with large family gatherings and I loved the bottle wash in mine!! It was good for glasses your hands don't fit in! Of course I loved the third rack too! and the carriages inside will go up and down. All this being said, this dishwasher (top of the line KA) had a leak inside. I don't know what the part is called, but it leaked. And it leaked so much that my wood floor and my custom wood cabinets became damaged. It now sits out in the garage like a piece of junk. I am so sorely disappointed. I wanted to love the appliances I bought. I love to cook and have family over. It was used once a day. sometimes, once every other day. Since there are only two of us here. This was my favorite piece from KA and i just thought it would last longer. sigh.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had it delivered on 4/15/24. On 4/22/24 the open door rod stuck in the open position preventing use of dishwasher. Repair on 4/29/24 allowed door to be closed but could not replace open door mechanism (part out of stock). We can use the dishwasher but must turn off the open door every time. Still waiting for repair on 5/6/24.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that you put a cover on this dishwasher, but it is so much smaller and has too many racks. It doesn't fit pots in the bottom rack and is at least 30% smaller than my last kitchenaid. the rack alignment for stacking plates is very odd and causes issues with loading. The cleaning is pretty good, but some cutlery comes out with food still on it (probably a user error in loading or on too often). Some great features like the LED time on the bottom, but to me its way too overpriced for what it gives.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved my old KitchenAid that this was replacing. The new top 2 racks are terrific and versatile. But the old bottom rack was much better. I can fit much fewer plates and things in the bottom rack.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have now owned this dishwasher for about a month and we are thrilled with it. It is very well-made and cleans so much better than the previous one that we owned from another manufacturer. The last one was not very old, but did not clean well. This one leaves our dishes spotless, even on the normal cycle. I love the door open drying option as it allows any water that may pool on top of a bowl or cup to evaporate before I have to put it away. It also projects a timer on the floor to show how long the cycle has left to complete. Our house has an open living room/kitchen area and you can't hear the dishwasher running. The only way we know it's on is when we see the timer. Great dishwasher and I highly recommend it to anyone.
