Easy on the eyes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the slim line design of this lamp and the different levels of brightness you can adjust it to. It makes reading things and looking at a computer screen a lot easier. It also has a phone charger on it but it doesn’t work with my iPhone 11. I was really looking forward to that aspect of this lamp. But the other features it has makes up for that. You can go from really bright to a very soft light all at the tap of a button.

Comfortable and Nice Looking Lamp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The OttLite Merge is comfortable on the eyes and a nice looking desk lamp. I like that it has three color temperature modes and three brightness settings. There is only one button that turns on and off, changes the modes and temperatures depending on how long you tap the button. I found the button really responsive and you barely have to touch it. The downside of this is that you do have to go through all the brightness settings to turn it off and re-pick the brightness the next time you use it. Although the controls are simple, I think I would prefer the ability to save the last setting or have a default setting. It would also be nice to have the ability to change the color temperature on a spectrum as opposed to three set temperatures (so it could go between temperatures) but totally not necessary. My eyes did feel more comfortable with this light and it is easy to change the mode depending on the time of day and activity. It does make things more clear, so clear that I could see a lot of dust I didn’t realize was on my desk. The lamp isn’t really enough at night alone to brighten a room but it is enough as a desk task lamp. I think this would be great for those in dorms who need to study without disturbing their sleeping roommates.
I think the overall aesthetic of the lamp is really modern and sleek looking. It looks like a well designed piece as opposed to more sterile and simply functional. I especially like the shape of the shade and the black with gold details. I am not a huge fan of the organizing cup but can see it being useful to eliminate a pen or pencil holder. I fear the cup will just become a dust collector. Pens, pencils and other utensils don’t really sit well due to the width and height of the cup. They tend to slide down unless you really stuff it full, which doesn’t make it look as minimalist or chic. The wireless charger is useful to have but like most chargers of its kind, you do have to put it a certain spot or it doesn’t charge. I wish that the phone could be charted standing up as opposed to laying horizontal so the phone alerts could be seen upright but I know that is hard to do with the various sizes of phones. I was surprised how big the charging plug was. It takes up a lot of room and I wish it could have instead been incorporated into the body of the lamp to free up precious space on the charging strip. Most of these minor criticisms are personal preferences and I think overall this is a great desk lamp that is comfortable to use.

Love the ability to select light tones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best thing about this multi-purpose desk lamp is easily the ability to select the type of light for your space or eye preference. The pen holder is useful and the Qi-enabled charger is extremely convenient. The design is functional, but unobtrusive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I work from home and my office doesn’t have a window to the outside just a window to my interior living room. When I tried this little lamp and the natural sunlight feel and look its lamp gives off, I felt like my office was directly facing a window to the east in the morning. The lamp feels like it gives off a nice natural “wake me up in the morning “warmth and flexes enough to point the lamp closer to me. I love the fact that the stand incorporates a quick charging wireless connection to my iPhone 13 Pro. This connection seems to work better than the regular fast charger I purchased and it props my phone up enough that I can easily see it whilst charging! All in all I’m very happy with this lamp!

Great idea for organizing

What I didn't realize is this lamp does not have a replacement bulb. It did not last a year before it stopped working. Now it just flashes a little red light at the bottom. Because I did not keep the receipt I cannot get reimbursed. It was not purchased on line, it was bought in a store and looking for the sales slip is looking for needle in a haystack. Do not buy if you cannot replace bulbs.

Stopped working after 15 months

I bought the light 15 months ago and it just stopped working. Very disappointing considering the cost. I would not recommend this at all.
