Great Lamp - Bad Idea

If you can get this lamp to come on, it’s great. The flexible neck works well, the adjustability to put the light where you need it is great for crafts and projects. However, that capacitive touch button for turning the light on doesn’t always works. Had this light for a little over a year and I struggle to get the light to come on. It’s annoying. The few times I’ve used the dimming feature is not worth the light never coming on. It’s an expensive product with a huge weakness.

This provides a lot of light that helps to see your work in detail with accurate color. It is very bright, so we usually have to dim it a little, but it provides plenty of light. The only negative is that while the dimming feature is nice to have, you have to hold the button until the light hits the brightness you want, which can be a little inconvenient. Still, that's a minor issue.

Not long-lasting

I bought this 2 years ago and used it on a less-than-average basis (only about 1x a week for a few hours), and it recently stopped working! I have several other OttLites that have lasted far longer, with conventional bulbs. I would expect the LED to outlast them, but that was not the case.

Waste of money

2yrs ago , it has begun to only light up to a dim light. When checking how to replace bulb found out it is not replaceable! So disappointed! Now only option is to throw away, totally a waste of money.
