[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, we are super impressed with this Google Pixel Tablet with charging station. The magnetic connection to the charging station is awesome and keeps it very secure. We keep this in our kitchen and use it for SO much. We can view our outside/doorbell cameras from it, we can pull up recipes when we cook, keep our grocery shopping list organized (and sync with our phones), play music, we play a constant slideshow of family photos when it's not in use, keep our family calendar updated so everyone can view it and we use " Hey Google" on a daily basis to check the weather or just look up random things. The size is perfect for traveling and so far, I've found nothing that this tablet can't do!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pixel tablet is a really interesting idea that fuses together the functions of a casual entertainment tablet with a home smart hub. Having a tablet that continues to be useful even when you're not actively using it, or a home smart hub that can provide expanded functionality on an as-needed basis is a brilliant idea, and Google's first crack at this concept definitely shows the promise of this concept, although it sadly still feels like it needs a bit of refinement. When undocked and in "tablet mode", this device is absolutely fantastic - easily one of the best tablets I've ever used and well worth the price just on those merits alone. When docked and in "hub mode", it feels a bit underwhelming and serves mostly to conjure up a laundry list of ways in which the hub mode could be made to really shine (none of which it really does well, or at all, at this point in time). That being said, it really gives the feeling that with a few judicious software updates, it could start to grow into the promise of a dual-purpose tablet / smart hub quite quickly. I really hope that there will be a future Pixel Tablet 2.0 because I have a feeling it's gonna be a complete game-changer, but for right now the current version of the Pixel Tablet is mostly a really fantastic tablet with dreams of one day being a full-fledged smart hub for your house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pixel tablet is a pretty good looking device. The white and ceramic finish are pleasing to the eyes. The volume and power buttons are in a good place and I don’t find myself hitting them by accident. Setting up the tablet was easy with the guided process. It does take a while to go through all the prompts and create the necessary accounts though. You should plan to take an hour to set it up, tailor settings to your liking, and update the operating system and existing apps. The Android experience is a bit different than what I’m used to since most of my products are Samsung and thus use One UI. I assume this tablet gives a “pure” Android experience since it’s from Google themselves. It relies a bit more on swipes and gestures but the whole family is adapting to it easily. The LCD display is 2560x1600 resolution with 276 PPI which is good enough I’d say. It doesn’t look grainy even when it’s uncomfortably close to my face. The claimed 500 nits brightness seems bright enough for brightly lit rooms and all but direct sunlight outdoors. By default, the tablet seemed to have an odd color profile which made whites seem brown and other colors seemed off. I figured out that the colors were set to “Adaptive”. Selecting “Vivid” or “Natural” gave the colors a more familiar hue. I selected “Natural” for myself. The performance of the tablet seems on par with modern phones but with a nice big screen. The racing, RTS, FPS, and other games we tried all played well on high settings with no lag or stutters. It was also easy to run multiple windows at once for multitasking purposes. Although we didn’t use this feature on a regular basis, we were able to pair Bluetooth controllers and mice to the tablet which could enhance productivity or help with certain games. The tablet came with 128GB which seems to be enough for my family but I know a 256GB model is also available for those that need more. The magnetic dock has been convenient for standing up the tablet for my daughter so she doesn’t need to hold it and we don’t have to buy a separate case just for that purpose either. We find ourselves unplugging the dock so we can take it with the tablet around the house as a stand. When we need to charge up then we plug the tablet and dock back into the dock’s power supply. The speakers on the dock can go louder than the tablet which can be nice for entertaining guests but I find that the quality of the sound isn’t really better than the tablet itself. The tablet’s built-in speakers are quite good. The cameras on the tablet are sufficient to hold calls with family members and take pictures and videos in less challenging environments. I switch to my phone if I need higher optical and/or digital zoom, better stabilization, or better low light imagery. Overall I think the Pixel Tablet with dock is at a fair price point and will provide years of entertainment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Google Pixel Tablet with Charging Speaker Dock 128GB Android tablet has a 11" display. It comes with speaker dock and wall adapter. The speaker dock is nice and it keeps your tablet charged 24/7. The tablet can also be charged with a USB-C cable (not included). This tablet was easy to set up, just follow the step by step instructions. The speaker dock is great for using Google assistant hands free. The speaker has a nice sound. The tablet is nice size and has great video quality, great for watching videos and movies. You can multi-task with 2 apps using split screen. This tablet can have up to 8 different user profiles, so when someone else is using the tablet they only see their own profile & their own apps. This Google Pixel Tablet has great quality and it is very responsive. I have never had a Google device so it is taking some getting use to. My only con so far is some of the apps I use are not compatible with this device. Overall it is a pretty good tablet.

Missed opportunities but still Excellent Tablet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a review of the Google Pixel Tablet with Charging Speaker Dock. I’ve been using this for a couple weeks now and here are my initial thoughts. Setup is very smooth and straight forward, especially if you have another android phone/tablet you’ve been using as it gives you the option to sync them. Responsiveness to touch is the best I’ve experienced in tablets. Screen size is 10.95 inches and resolution 2560x1600. This is in line with other high-end tablets and not QHD but full HD and I’ve watched a couple movies on it and was very happy with the resolution. I got the 128gb version and that is adequate for my use. Unfortunately, there is no expandable storage. As a matter of fact the only thing you can plug into this is a usb-c plug (not included ☹). When docked you can play music thru the dock but I feel the dock speakers are just adequate and prefer the sound thru my other google home devices. You can Bluetooth to other devices but haven’t figured out how to Bluetooth to the dock, so I believe the dock speakers only work when the tablet is docked. There is no headphone jack as most newer devices are no longer including that, but Bluetooth on this works very well. I’ve been very happy with the Bluetooth connections, casting, etc. There is also no cellular option but I did a couple video calls and was very happy with the results. Of course that is YMMV depending on wifi connection. There is a fingerprint reader top right that also acts as the power button. I’m still getting used to the fingerprint part and use but it is in an awkward position if you have your tablet in a case. I have mine docked in the kitchen and it works well as a hub and google assistance is very responsive. While docked it will only charge to 90% - I believe this is to save the battery. So far, the battery life is the best of all my tablets/phones. I know I checked at one point and after 82 hours of uptime it was still at 38%. There is both a front and back 8mp camera which I feel is just adequate in today’s marketplace. Tablet is lightweight but does feel like it’s on the high end of build quality and comfortable to hold. Overall, I am happy with the pixel tablet, but feel it missed a few opportunities that I’m sure will be addressed in future versions. As I was already part of the google home eco-system the integration of the tablet is definitely of higher value to me and integration was seamless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google Pixel Tablet with Charging Speaker Dock has literally become the hub of our home. So much of our home is "smart" and this has become the place to operate the HVAC, lights, generator, cameras and more! It's docked in our kitchen giving the entire family access. It keeps us on task...displays the time, temp and air quality. Speaking of access, each member has their own profile with their own stuff. The charging speaker dock is cool too. We play music often and love it for that! It looks great on my counter and I can't live without it! It's really awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google Pixel Tablet feels sturdy when I hold it. The picture is very good, with colors that are vivid and accurate, so watching movies is great! I was already using Google Home and several Google devices, including a Nest, Pixel phones, and a TV, so the Pixel tablet seamlessly joined the family. Set up was straightforward and easy by just following the onscreen prompts. I really like that multiple profiles with separate sign in credentials can be used on it. The audio is good for a tablet, but the speaker dock is better. If I'm listening to music on the tablet and put it on the dock, the audio switches to the speaker dock almost instantly. I can also cast the music on my phone to the tablet when it's on the dock. The tablet attaches to the dock in landscape position with magnets that are strong enough to keep it from falling off even when my cat bumps into it. I find it easier to remove the tablet from the dock with two hands, but I can do it with one by tipping up the bottom of the tablet. It is hard to adjust the volume with one hand when it's docked because it can fall off the dock when pressing the buttons on top. If I take the tablet outside the home, I will leave the dock at home and bring a USB-C cable for charging. Overall, it's a great tablet for watching movies, playing games, and as a smart home hub.
