Great device with great dock speaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having seen some other reviews of this product, I have to say, the sound quality of the dock speaker is not bad at all. I think it's quite excellent! It would've been nicer if there was a way to use the dock without it being plugged in, but - otherwise - the tablet on its own suffices for everyday use. It's nice to have a device that can both be used for personal entertainment and also as a "hub" for our home - serving as a touch point for our various home automation apps/devices. Really love how versatile this is!
I would recommend this to a friend!

He said he needed a better tablet so I chose this one. He absolutely loves it. It was easy to set up and he has enjoyed playing around on it creating whatever he can. I definitely recommend

Great speed, great picture and great sound quality. Very easy to setup. The magnet for the charging dock is great and very difficult to knock the tablet off of it. The speaker sounds great even with it turned up all the way

Very nice device; becoming a house favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am pretty impressed with the Google Pixel Tablet and Charging station with its sound bar.
Set up is easy, the tablet is set up like any other tablet and phone. All you do is run through their prompts and you are done. With the charging station and sound bar, all you do is plug it in. Lastly, just place the tablet onto the charging station and have it hold through it's magnetic dock.
Since we set it up in the kitchen, I was a little worried about bumping the tablet and have it continuously fall from the dock but it holds really well. It's very stable and I no longer think about being more careful around it.
The speaker sets this combo apart. When I first played music from it, both my wife and son commented on how clear and impressed they were from the sound. My wife likes to have music playing in the house and this has become the primary device for playing music now.
I also like how this can be used as smart device. I've been using this to get the daily weather, a kitchen timer, basic info and more.
It is nice to have a tablet handy instead of always using my phone to pull up stuff. The family and myself can just grab the tablet when needed and everyone has been returning the tablet to it's dock afterward since that is the primary charging source.
One thing I'd like to note is that my son has adopted this as a gaming device. With its great sound and large tablet display, he figured out he can connect his controller up to it and play his favorite game on it.
I'd definitely recommend this tablet and charging station (w/ speaker) to anyone looking or a tablet or home smart device. This is one the whole family can enjoy.

Decent tablet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pixel tablet is unique as it has a dock. When it is on the dock it works like a smart hub and when it is detached it becomes a tablet. It charges when it is on the dock. Tablet also has an usb c charging port. Without the tablet docked in it, the dock doesn't have any functionality of its own. The magnets used to attach the tablet to the dock are strong and attach very easily. The tablet is very responsive and runs Android 13 (Tiramisu). It comes with a fingerprint reader and you can configure a security pin to unlock it. The Google Home detected the other Google OS devices on the network like sound bar and the TV. I added other *Works with Google* devices like security camera and doorbell but the tablet could not stream their videos so that was a bummer. When in hub mode and we switch off the lights screen automatically goes into the low-power mode with just a clock display. The size and weight of the tablet is very optimal to carry around and its build is also sturdy. The 8MP front and rear cameras take not that great pictures and are decent for video chat. The battery life lasts for approximately 10 hours. The speaker in the tablet is a bit tiny but when on the dock it enhances the audio by adding bass and the sound is much better. The display has decent resolution and with 500 nits brightness you can read text in sunlight but videos will be washed out. Overall a decent tablet but it would have been good if the dock was an optional add-on to make it competitively priced with other android tablets.

Sleek Design, Easy to Use Dock, Excellent Sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been a fan of Google's line of Pixel phones and that same spirit and style is embedded in this tablet. The screen is crisp, bright, and responsive. The sound from the tablet is okay, but when on the stand/dock it is excellent. The battery life seems to be in the 6-8 hour range, which isn't great-- but the dock is easy to use (it uses magnets to hold the tablet in place, no cords or clips) and the tablet charges via USB, so it doesn't take long to get a bit more juice in the battery.
The stand only works in landscape mode, so this it works great when playing videos (my wife loves this in the kitchen when baking and cooking), but it does not hold the tablet in portrait mode. The magnet on the stand is VERY strong, but a quick twist of the tablet pops it off.
The best part about this tablet is also where the most frustrations are: The Android system. Google did a FANTASTIC job of keeping this clean, neat, and responsive. There is no bloatware or weird skins/themes you can't get rid of. On Google's Pixel phones, they are the first to receive software updates (compared to other Android phones) and I'd expect the same for this tablet. However, Android apps are still lacking in tablet compatibility-- the apps I've tried that lack a tablet mode still work great, but they don't fill the entire screen. Hopefully as Android tablets (like this one) become more widespread, there will be better compatibility.
One thing to note, that ties into the lack of full screen on some apps, is that Google allows you to easily display two apps side by side in split screen mode. This is handier than I thought it would be and makes the tablet quite useful.
A couple of other things to note, the camera are alright. You won't be winning any photo contest with this, but they are more than adequate for video chatting, etc. The power button doubles as a fingerprint reader and works much better than I anticipated-- which makes unlocking easy and quick.
Overall? Love it. I do have some minor gripes (battery life, some apps not using full screen because they aren't tablet optimized by the app developer, etc), but this is a fantastic tablet that works well.

A perfect hub

I control my nest thermostat through it and now it’s used by everyone in the house. After just a few weeks we can’t imagine not having this.

And it does NOT disappoint me! Easy to get started and set up. Connected smoothly to my current google account so that things were automatically set up and ready to go. The speaker is amazing quality for my needs or wants. Pretty similar to other tablets but I just love the layout and features much better!
