My teenager needed a new computer for school work. He wanted to have a computer for gaming. I have tried other companies (both laptops and desktops) and have always enjoyed my HP computers more than the others. The computer came sooner than expected and was very easy to set up. There was none of the usual "free" apps or updates that were needed for previous purchased computers. Within a couple of minutes, he was already gaming. This Envy satisfied both of our needs.

Probably a decent product, but doesn’t compare to the HP Pavillion I’ve owned for 11 years. No front lights other than Power, so can’t tell if internal storage is being accessed (like during image backup). Advertises internal PCIe expansion ports, but no way to find out what’s available on my unit. No tech info available on any of the individual front or back USB ports, or identified on the ports. Other than ads, there seems to be no tech info available for this unit on any of the HP web sites.
the desktop is total junk. my old envy would print and read the camera card this does neither. support fixed it so it would print that was short lived it reverted back to not being able to connect to the hp smart tank printer. it is slow complete toral perfect junk. support is worthless impossible to contact puts you on endless holds then cannot correct any problems.
I was hoping that this computer would be a much needed upgrade to my 2013 Dell, however I found it to be very similar. It does boot up amazingly fast and has some great features but aving an SSD drive and a 2TB data hard drive has proved confusing for for the processing. As a photo editor, the 256 SSD drive barely contains the programs I need to use, and the communications to the data harddrive proves to be slow and cumbersome. This PC locks up while processing Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and has completely crashed several time while trying to process photos. It also had a weird quirk that you cannot wake it up when you step away for a few minutes, sometimes it crashes and reboots or I need to do a complete shutdown and bring it back up.
Partial system failure out of the box. Can't set up multiple monitors. Tech support has involved 3+ hours, re-sets, and more. I expected MUCH better than this!
I know that people are having trouble in every tech industry getting parts to build their computers but that should make you even more helpful to you clients instead of causing all the headaches, not listening to or believing what we tell you about the systems that we purchased. This had to go back in a little over a two months.
The reason it didn't get 5 stars is that when using the HDMI cable to my smart TV I get nothing but a pic of the desktop wallpaper. It's the same with the WiFi. It worked with my old PC and currently with the wife's laptop. I would appreciate some help with this issue.
I love the physical size, it's way smaller and lighter than any PC I've ever owned. And I'm getting used to the upgrade to Windows 11.
