Though the description states this hard drive is compatible with an IPad, I kept getting errors when trying to download from the iPad to the SSD. Initially, I was able to transfer some photos but kept getting errors from then on. I eventually returned the item after spending numerous hours trying to transfer from the IPad to the SSD.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
