A fantastic model and a wonderful experience

I love the design, aesthetics, attention to detail, and the customization options of this model. The iconic red telephone booth is unmistakable and the street diorama scene that comes with it with the street lamp and flower pots is simply beautiful. I bought extra parts to be able to build out the alternate phone booth interior sub-models so I can easily swap them out as desired. Would absolutely recommend this set to a first-time Lego builder as its not very complex and a fun and reasonably short build.

Fun build

I started in on Legos during the pandemic as a way to keep my mind functioning and to alleviate some of the boredom. This is my 3 medium sized build (I have 4 smaller, 2 medium and 4 large sized builds waiting for me). I've been to London twice and seeing this Telephone Box, brought back memories. I put it together over the course of 4 nights, about 2 hours each night. My only complaint is with the phone book, which kept falling out of the slot. I solved that by using a small strip of mounting putty. Notre Dame is next!!

Two builds in one box

I saw an original red telephone box at Liverpool Cathedral in England, as the archetect who designed the Cathedral also designed the original telephone box. Building was no problem, yet I had the impression that there were two builds that could be done separately: the telephone box itself, and the place where it sits. I had fun building both parts, and had some left-over pieces as I chose the A and B button variety, as I had used such phones as a child. It took but a few hours, and I really enjoyed the build. Highly recommended; delightful and nostalgic!!

Phoned it in!

As always while doing my annual Lego set, the experience includes making mistakes, and swearing I am missing pieces :) But everything turned out fine and this product displays very nicely. I figure in my later years doing a Lego set annually helps keeps my mind a little sharper, plus lots of fun in the experience!
Having spent a good deal of time in London over the past 20 or so years, I had this set on my wish list. When I was notified that it was being retired, I purchased it immediately. However, when it arrived and my wife saw it, it just as immediately became HER build and she's absolutely loving it!
