Beautiful Milky Way

While this may seem like a boring build to some, it was actually a fun build. It was interesting to see all the different pieces they used to make have texture that pops out. They could have done this with the flat round pieces used for the Beatles art piece, but they chose to use layered pieces and a few little surprises like frogs,Lego Friends brushes, cherries, ice cream, purple carrots, and various other random pieces -one I had never seen before. This set looks amazing up close where you can see all the layers that make up the Milk Way galaxy, but it’s even better when you look at from a distance. I recommend this set to anyone who is interested in space, or art or any Lego fan.

I love this build. It was very creative in the use of piece types (hairbrushes, wisks, cherries and even a frog). Like other reviewers, I was missing a couple pieces. I was able to scavange from loose pieces so that I didn't have to delay the build. My only complaint (besides the sore fingertips) was that there were no instruction books included so I had to download the pdfs and build this in front of my computer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I loved putting this set together with all the details.
The Crab Nebula was my favorite piece. It looks great hanging on the wall. There was only 1 piece missing. Will buy future art sets!!

Way more than expected. I was not happy about all the colors, but decided to make this my first art from Lego and boy this DID NOT disappoint! Absolutely stunning and fits in with any decor. Finger tips a little sore from the build, but well worth it!!!! Would absolute build this again so relaxing, listened to the podcast and then played my jazz took my time. NOTE: Had extra pieces in every bag minus one, SO happy I was not missing any pieces GREAT JOB LEGO!

My husband and I built this together. It was our first set we built together too. We love the look of it, loved the individual books so we could work on a section separately, and loved the depth of the piece. I plan to listen to the podcast it comes with now that it’s built. Can’t wait to hang this up! I recommend this to art/space lovers such as myself. It’s a tedious build but the way it’s broken into section makes it seem like a breeze. I hope Lego does more art space theme sets.

Overall it was a good build. 3 of the 15 black base pieces were warped. Needed extra pressure to get the tan squares to fit in the center. I was a little disappointed that the back of the build looks/feels incomplete.
