Love all the small details!

I loved putting this set together with all the details.
The Crab Nebula was my favorite piece. It looks great hanging on the wall. There was only 1 piece missing. Will buy future art sets!!

Way more than expected. I was not happy about all the colors, but decided to make this my first art from Lego and boy this DID NOT disappoint! Absolutely stunning and fits in with any decor. Finger tips a little sore from the build, but well worth it!!!! Would absolute build this again so relaxing, listened to the podcast and then played my jazz took my time. NOTE: Had extra pieces in every bag minus one, SO happy I was not missing any pieces GREAT JOB LEGO!

My husband and I built this together. It was our first set we built together too. We love the look of it, loved the individual books so we could work on a section separately, and loved the depth of the piece. I plan to listen to the podcast it comes with now that it’s built. Can’t wait to hang this up! I recommend this to art/space lovers such as myself. It’s a tedious build but the way it’s broken into section makes it seem like a breeze. I hope Lego does more art space theme sets.

Overall it was a good build. 3 of the 15 black base pieces were warped. Needed extra pressure to get the tan squares to fit in the center. I was a little disappointed that the back of the build looks/feels incomplete.

Tedious build

The build was very tedious. While the finished set looks ok it does not look good if you get too close. This was the most disappointing Lego set I have done. I did The Starry Night and while it was under Ideas it really is Art. That build was much more fun and the finished set looks great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Creative, but Repetitive

The set is quite striking once it's fully assembled. Building out all of the panels starts off fun, but gets a little repetitive with the same colors and patterns over and over. The size is probably larger than it needs to be, too. It would be a better set if it were a less expensive and a little bit smaller. It's over twice the size of the Starry Night set. And, the colors are so different, the "paintings" don't really go very well together.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
