I enjoyed building the set. The pictures do not do it justice. It captures the magic of the classic series I grew up with and fits perfectly on my bookshelf.

Brought back memories of my childhood

I bought this for myself to celebrate my 40th birthday. Lego needs to make more like this as I enjoyed every bit of the intricacies and frustrations with assembling the halves together. I don’t care to play with it. I just want to mount it on my wall next to my Batwing!

PERFECT for any fan of the show!

Absolutely gorgeous, a massive build that's kept me busy! I've been assembling it for the last 3 days (after work) and I'm not quite halfway done, but I'm loving every step of the way. The instructions are clear and easy to follow (though I wish the darker bricks had white outlines and one of the orange-brown shades looks red on the manuals). It's been a joy to build and has done more to get me hooked on Lego than anything. It's FULL of tiny fun references, and has been an absolute joy to put together.
It's still only half-finished, I've only had it for 4 days and am assembling it after work hours, but I'm super excited to get it finished, and plan on adding lights after the fact to make it even better! 10/10 for any Bat-fan.

A display piece not a play piece

I am a different LEGO fan as I am the adult fan that like display pieces from the IDEAS/ICON theme more then a LEGO city set with mini figures guy, I tried a set or two with city sets and started too lean towards the icon/ideas sets. I heard about this set I was really excited about it and wondered what it would look like. I was not disappointed when it did come out . I was still un sure of it due to the price. So I did my research and read and watched reviews and took a leap of faith and bought it as a Christmas present for myself last Christmas and just recently finished it.
The various piece usage was great! Using the frog piece as a lion or gargoyle on building just awesome. I was not bored building this set as each bag started to develop the scene or building. However I thought the designers could have been smarter and use less bricks in some areas for instance when using 1 1x1 and a 1x 2 pc together for a section when clearly a 1 x 3 could have been used. This was through out the set at times.
THIS IS A DISPLAY set and not a playable set why the mini figures not every set needs them? I personally don’t see the need for them especially if it adds to the price of the set.
Display-I was never going to hang it on the wall so to me this was a feature that could have gone away (save on number of LEGO pcs used and that could have gone to the printed tile cost. Sorry LEGO it is a nice feature but not for me.
Yes another review about stickers, yes there are a lot of stickers. I tend to shy away from sets with a lot of stickers. Personally I thought half of them could have been printed pieces especially the really small ones (Clay Face tv screens and the museum charity banner). If the designers/ LEGO would have cut down on the number of pcs as reference above and got rid of the mini figures I think at least half of the stickers could have been printed tiles with the cost saving. For myself I would have loved to seen all the characters tiles printed and there again pcs like the cells in Arkham and the police station or the bat cave could have be 2 x whatever pcs instead of individual tiles of 2 x4), plus BATMAN is a printed red tile so it could have been done. Option 2) is at least half of printed tiles for all the pcs that are on top of the set-the Police Blimps, the various building signage and have all the easter eggs be stickers -why? You don’t see those right away when looking at the set.
I think LEGO needs to review the cost of stickers/pc count and adding mini figures to sets. I understand LEGO justifying the cost and pcs of a set and cover the price of licensing. LEGO is not going to make everyone happy -some want it all printed tiles, mini figures, a great pc count and a really fair price-that is not going to happen (Sorry various reviewers and LAN members). It is a tightrope act for them.
In the end I really like this set. I am glad I did my research and got it. The build was fun and enjoyable stickers and all. I love displaying it and showing it off to people. I do hope to see more of this type of diorama come out (the Superman animated series come to mind and it doesn’t have to be that big as this).

A love letter to BTAS

This set is absolutely gorgeous and I love the level of detail for this set. The price at first seems very high but with more pieces than assembly square it makes since for the high price point. The set features 4 great figures on a stone ledge platform: Catwoman, Batman, Harley Quinn and the joker. The figures all look great and like how they should. The build is in sections and it’s really cool to slowly build it inward until you finish both segments and then connect them together. While I will now admit I have yet to finish the series, the level of detail I recognized is incredible: you got Wayne manor, the batcave, Gotham city court, The police station, wayne enterprises, joker’s amusement park the Ace chemical plant and Arkham asylum. The main buildings are accounted for and you get mini versions of the Batmobile, the batwing, the blimps and the villains, which this set provides most of them: joker, catwoman, poison ivy, penguin, bane, Harley Quinn, Baby Doll, just to name a few. While this set is not really made to be a functional set and more a display peice, you can open some of the buildings and reveal details for the set which is very cool. This set is very well done, provided me a good challenge this weekend and I love the end product. I am waiting for the Batmobile from this series and I wish Lego the best with this set. Overall very great and I reccomend if you want a nice tribute to the Animated series

Beautiful display piece worthy of BTAS!

I’ve always wanted Batman the animated series sets, and what a way to start! The art deco style, or in this case ‘dark deco’, is absolutely stunning and satisfying to look at. There’s also so many Easter eggs and references to the show and interesting build techniques to keep you engaged the entire building process. My only gripes with the set are a lot of the smaller tiles and plates have noticeable mold injection marks which I always try to hide from view, which can get annoying. Also the Harley figures face print is not the brightest white. I highly recommend this still to anyone, if it’s your thing!

Absolutely love this set!! Brings back so many memories from my childhood and enjoyed building it.
Would like to know the proper way to mount it in the wall though.
Either way a great display piece!

I love it, the only thing is the wall mounting system is 17 in across for my American friends, so you will have to figure something out.
