A display piece not a play piece

I am a different LEGO fan as I am the adult fan that like display pieces from the IDEAS/ICON theme more then a LEGO city set with mini figures guy, I tried a set or two with city sets and started too lean towards the icon/ideas sets. I heard about this set I was really excited about it and wondered what it would look like. I was not disappointed when it did come out . I was still un sure of it due to the price. So I did my research and read and watched reviews and took a leap of faith and bought it as a Christmas present for myself last Christmas and just recently finished it.
The various piece usage was great! Using the frog piece as a lion or gargoyle on building just awesome. I was not bored building this set as each bag started to develop the scene or building. However I thought the designers could have been smarter and use less bricks in some areas for instance when using 1 1x1 and a 1x 2 pc together for a section when clearly a 1 x 3 could have been used. This was through out the set at times.
THIS IS A DISPLAY set and not a playable set why the mini figures not every set needs them? I personally don’t see the need for them especially if it adds to the price of the set.
Display-I was never going to hang it on the wall so to me this was a feature that could have gone away (save on number of LEGO pcs used and that could have gone to the printed tile cost. Sorry LEGO it is a nice feature but not for me.
Yes another review about stickers, yes there are a lot of stickers. I tend to shy away from sets with a lot of stickers. Personally I thought half of them could have been printed pieces especially the really small ones (Clay Face tv screens and the museum charity banner). If the designers/ LEGO would have cut down on the number of pcs as reference above and got rid of the mini figures I think at least half of the stickers could have been printed tiles with the cost saving. For myself I would have loved to seen all the characters tiles printed and there again pcs like the cells in Arkham and the police station or the bat cave could have be 2 x whatever pcs instead of individual tiles of 2 x4), plus BATMAN is a printed red tile so it could have been done. Option 2) is at least half of printed tiles for all the pcs that are on top of the set-the Police Blimps, the various building signage and have all the easter eggs be stickers -why? You don’t see those right away when looking at the set.
I think LEGO needs to review the cost of stickers/pc count and adding mini figures to sets. I understand LEGO justifying the cost and pcs of a set and cover the price of licensing. LEGO is not going to make everyone happy -some want it all printed tiles, mini figures, a great pc count and a really fair price-that is not going to happen (Sorry various reviewers and LAN members). It is a tightrope act for them.
In the end I really like this set. I am glad I did my research and got it. The build was fun and enjoyable stickers and all. I love displaying it and showing it off to people. I do hope to see more of this type of diorama come out (the Superman animated series come to mind and it doesn’t have to be that big as this).

This was one of the coolest Batman sets I got I loved the little Easter eggs when I was assembling it and it was a perfect wall display to put on my wall.

Excellent skyline build

I really enjoyed putting together this set. The only 2 issues that I had was that bag 8 has a missing 2x2 part, and I think some parts of the larger back plates should be reinforced with a couple more plates. I notified lego about the missing piece, and the request was fulfilled in a couple days. I highly recommend this set for Batman fans, it does not disappoint. Make sure you have a long shelf for it!

Gotham City rules!

I’m a huge Batman fan and just recently started building Lego sets. I got this set because it looked challenging, and it is. The instructions are very clear, but I recommend using the Lego app because you can rotate the pieces.
I’ve been working on it for a week and love the experience. The only thing I’m dreading is where to display it when it is completed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Building this set just let me reminisce for hours on the animated series. Its detail was amazing and only proved how much the Lego Masters put into a build. 10 out of 10!

First Lego set I've bought and built since I was a kid. Love being able to hang it up to display it to save space for my other collections. Always wanted something Batman-related in my collection and this Lego set is completely worth it with the amount of details. Looks even better with the LED strips I've added behind to make the Batman logo pop behind my white wall.

BTAS LEGO SET???? Finally!!!!

Background: I grew up with Batman the Animated Series. Its an awesome show that I've rewatched multiple and will continue to rewatch for years to come.
The set itself is magnificent! The idea of doing the Gotham skylight was genius. The references to the past episodes in the details. Even the minifigures themselves were fantastic. I was so happy when I finally was able to open this set and start building!! I really can't find any faults with the set itself. However one thing I didn't like is sometimes in the instruction booklet it was hard to discern the difference between dark brown and black colors lego pieces. But that is such a minuscule detial that it hardly matters.
Lego Inc. I am pleading with you please, PLEASE create more Batman the animated series sets! There are so many lucrative and potential sets to create from this show. Adults who grew up with show would love these and I think kids will have fun with these sets as well. (Even if the show is over 30 years old). In fact if you want some ideas I have some ideas that you can use...for free!
1. A Deluxe Lego Set Based on the episode "Almost Got Im" show casing 6 minifigures Batman, Commissioner Gordon, Poison Ivy, Two Face, Penguin the Joker.
2. "Batman Mask of the Phantasm" Movie based set.
3. "A Christmas with the Joker" based set. Specifically the 3rd act scene where the "awful lawful family" is above the vault of acid.
5. Two Face Based Lego Set involving Batgirl.
6. Deluxe 18+ "Trial" Courtroom based Batman set (Include all the villains, even create a Judge Joker minifigure)
7. If possible...Bruce Wayne's Manner from the the Batman the Animated Series. (This is a high ask so maybe just make it a miniature set.)
8. "Nothing to Fear" Episode featuring the Scarecrows blimp and bi-plane.
