Does not seem to fit correctly — is it me?

We recently purchased the GGS600AVFS and the center grate - JXGRATE2. For the life of me I cannot see how this fits. It’s entirely too big. Everything and everyone I speak to has confirmed this is correct. What do I do?

We'd like to assist you with your range grate. Model GGS600AVFS is compatible with JXGRATE2. We recommend contacting the retailer where the grate was purchased regarding a replacement if not fitting properly.

Purchased this accessories to have on range to prevent my griddle from being damaged and store griddle at bottom drawer and use it when I need it and prevent it from being damaged
