Not wide enough. Fell with turkey, lucky no burns

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this rack with our GRS600AVFS electric range as an OEM accessory.
It glides smooth and seemed to lock in.
However, when we pulled out the rack to baste a turkey after the oven was hot and had been at 350 for a couple hours, the whole rack assembly fell from the middle of the oven to the bottom and ended at an angle onto the oven door, splashing hot liquid onto me, the door and floor.
Luckily I had silicone gloves on and was not burned, and I was able to catch the whole pan from crashing onto the floor.
I shudder to think what would have happened if this had been my wife or teen children tending this.
Trips to the ER for burns on Thanksgiving would have been disastrous.
This was an expensive accessory. In good conscience, I cannot recommend this extension.
Whether it is the extension or the oven walls expanding, I don't know, but be exceptionally mindful of your racks with heavier items.
