It has stopped after having it 5 months. The start button feels like it's not hitting the activator.

We'd like to assist with the dryer no longer operating, as well as the start button. Please schedule a service appointment with a Bodewell technician by calling 833-426-3393 or schedule online at https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service
This is a very good basic dryer, which is what I wanted. Only minor issue is the temperature knob is a bit "sloppy", so need to make sure you "click" exactly on the desired temperature setting. If not, the dryer will not heat.
I have always used hotpoint dryer.. It was al ittle smaller than expected, whihc is fine... I have limited space off my kitchen. I wanted simple as I am older .the less buttons and whistes the better
Bought this dryer April 16, 2025, and today the dryer stopped working. It won't start at all. Not happy I bought it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We'd like to help with this issue with your dryer not starting. We recommend disconnecting the dryer from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets it. Tips regarding what to try when the dryer won't start are available on page 11 of the manual; that's linked here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--bCbLwlRq--/bibgvy3lenfqvo3vwhf7.pdf
After reviewing our system, we see you've been in contact with a member of our team to set up a service appointment. If troubleshooting doesn't help, we're confident a technician will be able to assist at your upcoming appointment.
I am disappointed with three features of this model...first, the unit does not turn off if the clothes are completely dried which causes the clothes to be so hot they can't bee touched immediately; second, the alarm to alert you that the dryer is shutting down is extremely loud; third, there are only three heat settings. high, medium and no heat; most dryers have a low heat setting

We would like to address the heat problem you're experiencing. If you haven't done so, we recommend that you use the medium heat setting and a timed cycle to prevent your items from getting to hot. If you're still having issues, we recommend that you have a Bodewell technician out to take a look. An appointment can be made here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
