Love how easily the door opens. Wish there was a volume button on the buzzer indicating time is up. Also auto stop would be an improvement. After going out to the store, came home to the buzzer, and dryer, still going! Over an hour later.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loud door otherwise seems fine.

We purchased this brand and it is not our usual brand but because it was the only one that would fit in the area that has been designated for a dryer for 48 years. It seems to run ok but the door is very hard to shut. I don't like slamming doors but this one you have to slam. We are hoping it loosens up to be perfect and a bit more easy to shut. The price seemed a little steep for the average dryer but the fit was what we needed.

Small Dryers May Cost More to Run.

Although my new GE dryer is basically the same dimensions outside as my previous GE (because both washer and dryer are in a closet), the inside seems smaller. It takes 80 minutes to dry a load of clothes or a load of towels. I’m very disappointed. Just wish I had more room for a larger and better dryer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Response from geappliances.comBy DiegoGE_AppliancesApril 22, 2026
We want to help you with your dryer taking too long to dry. We recommend sorting your load properly, thick, heavy, bulky fabrics need more dry time than lightweight fabrics. Additionally, we recommend cleaning the lint filter every load. You can find additional tips at the following article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18058

We appreciate your feedback regarding the capacity of your unit, and we are going to share your comments with our product team for review.

Keep the old one!
on April 12, 2026

Well all things considered we should have had our old dryer fixed instead of buying this unit. It's much cheaper with no lights and far less options. We made a mistake. Should have stayed with the older unit.

We've only done two loads of laundry, but it worked just fine for both loads, so Excellent rating at this point. Only time will truly tell.

Timer Trouble
on February 19, 2026
Posted by: jmt1237
We bought the dryer in Aug 2025 and the timer knob stripped. The timer has been very difficult to rotate from the onset which more than likely attributed to the knob stripping.
Response from geappliances.comBy SarahGE_AppliancesFebruary 20, 2026
We'd like to address this issue you're having with the timer knob. After reviewing our system, we see you've been in touch with a member of our team and service has been scheduled.

If you need to reach back out to our service department, our Bodewell team is available at 1-833-426-3393. They are open Monday – Friday, 8AM – 8PM ET, and an appointment can be scheduled online as well, at this link: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service

We're confident the technician will be able to assist and that the dryer will perform well for you afterward.
