So far so good. I like the smart capabilities, to be able to adjust things from your phone. It's new so not a lot of things could have gone wrong in the short time we've had it. The oven does heat up quickly so that's a plus.
The range is definitely on the cheaper side with materials and craftsmanship and the bottom drawer does feel cheap and flimsy but at this price range, we will live with it until it deems time to replace.
(it was installed in our new home, we did not have a chance to pick the appliances)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the attractive quality especially since I purchased a GE refrigerator in the same style. I purchased the basic model since it is a tried and true simple design. Hopefully, it will last as long as my Hotpoint. Unfortunately, Hotpoint no longer makes a glass top range. In addition, I am hopeful that having the controls above the cooktop and over the oven, the generated heat is far enough away to not reduce the. expected life of the oven's electronic pad. I've noticed many comments of this concern on models where the controls are next to the stove top at counter level. I've baked and used the stove top on multiple occasions including the broil function and have been pleased. The storage draw is somewhat flimsy, but that is expected on lower end products. Just be gentle and it should last. Definitely definitely use a ceramic stove top cleaner and a razor blade type tool to scrape off hardened food debris before using the cleaner. Never use amonia products. They also make stainless steel cleaning products or make a light soap and water solution to clean the stainless and a soft dry buffing cloth to finish it off.

We love the GE® ENERGY STAR® 30" Free-Standing Electric Range. We are using it for the past 6 months and we have had no complaints. It is easy to clean and manage!
