Have had HP laptop in the past. Had a good experience with it, so when purchasing a new laptop stayed with HP. Upgraded processor, storage, and operating system.
Even though it is a 17' it seems a lot smaller. I do love the fact that it is lighter than my old one. I'm still not crazy about Windows 11, but I am getting used to it.
Computer is a nice machine but have had issues with setting up the touchpad scroll speed. Price was good for the performance. It is always plugged in so can not gage the battery life. Screen resolution is excellent.
Not used to laptops, so not sure how to manage expectations. Gets a little warm, and the battery seems to drain just as fast as a cell phone in use. Again, nothing to compare that to.
I am extremely disappointed with this laptop. When I made the purchase I had understood that it had a backlit keyboard which when I received the product I discovered it did not have that feature. Therefore even though the computer itself is very nice I remain disappointed about the apparent misunderstanding. The reason I purchased this computer was for the backlit keyboard.
The pre-installed Express VPN application that opens during setup does not work. I received an internal error when attempting to run the application. Also, my keyboard key strokes are very rapid. If I just tap a key, multiple characters appear.
