GETS 'ER DONE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Whirlpool range as a replacement for an older, coil-burner version. If you are doing the same, please note that the glass top is slick and that pans slide all over the place! Be sure to hold onto pan handles when stirring (something I did not find necessary with the coils). The "dual element" burners take some getting used to and, in my experience, it takes MUCH longer to bring a pot of water to a boil on the glass top vs. coils. I selected the Whirlpool brand as I found my previous oven baked well. The new oven seems to do the same. The broiler did not function with several attempts and, finally, after I called for repair, started working properly. The user information is generic, and not specific to this model and that caused some confusion--especially since I discovered that one piece of it was not included with the product. Note that this oven is NOT self-cleaning. I assumed that was standard these days so that was my mistake. However, that won't work for me and I will be exchanging the range for a model that has that feature.
