[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Whirlpool appliance I bought within two weeks, the first being a refrigerator which required warranty service almost "out of the box".
Within two weeks the left front burner on this range went wild and burned a meal I left simmering to a crisp so required warranty service again, which happily, was performed in a timely manner.
The control knobs have NO markings whatsoever so one never knows where they are set so I marked them with srips of adhesive tape so I can tell!
The volume for when the oven is preheated and the timed ends is best described as the squeak of an ill mouse and the volume level adjustment is next to useless.
The oven racks do NOT slide easily as they pinch on the sides which is extremely aggravating.
The oven drawer "slides" like dragging a sack of potatoes across the floor.
I bought THIS model as it is the closest to the Whirlpool range I replaced and the same with the refrigerator.
Our washer, drier and dishwasher are also Whirlpool.
I don't know what has happened to Whirlpool but I'm having second thoughts after having Whirlpool appliances, exclusively, for over forty years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced older exiting Maytag stove. Stove. Compared to older stove, this new Whirlpool seems to be very tinny. As well, when opening oven door gasket pulled loose. Had to set up warranty service call. Thus, a newer gasket was installed.

Sticking oven racks pose a safety issue when hot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have now had the range for a month. The duel burner cook top is great, however, when the oven is cold the racks slide easily, but when it heats up the racks are very difficult to slide, which does create a safety issue (burn/spill) if there is liquid in the cooking dish.
The service man told me that this is normal and falls within the acceptable range even though it is scraping the finish off. Talking with friends and neighbors I have yet to have one tell me that have the same issue. Our Maytag double oven we had for 19 years and neither oven ever did this.
