Very disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the range for a month and it is still not working. So far, two visits by a licensed technician referred by Whirlpool and parts have been installed both times and it still is not functioning properly. The gas range will not maintain temperature, once it has been pre-heated. The gas range will not re-light to maintain temperature

Go to someone else but not Whirlpool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My builder bought this unit and it is s joke. The gas pressure is so high that you really have no option but a medium to medium high flame. The first time we used the oven the unit had some coating inside that set off 10 alarms in the house that ran for several minutes. I'm afraid to use it for the 2nd time! Buy another brand or if it must be Whirlpool, upgrade signifcantly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A slight smoke or unusual smell is normal when a new oven is first used. This is due to:
Heating new internal components (elements, wiring).
New insulating materials reaching operating temperature.
Vaporization of a thin, protective oil coating applied during manufacturing.
Residual adhesives from shipping materials.
The smell is temporary and will dissipate after a few uses.

To efficiently remove manufacturing odors, do not cook food during the first use, as odors can transfer.

Procedure:
Remove All Materials: Ensure all packaging, plastic, foam, and shipping materials are out of the oven cavity.
Set Cycle: Select "Bake" mode.
Set Temperature: Set to 350°F (177°C).
Run Time: Run continuously for a minimum of 60 minutes (one hour).
Repeat: If the odor persists after cooling, repeat the 60-minute cycle one or two more times.
Wipe Down: Once fully cooled, wipe down the interior with a soft cloth dampened with plain water or a mild soap solution.
Ventilation: Open a kitchen window and/or turn on the exhaust fan (hood) to the highest setting during burn-off to accelerate odor dissipation.General Safety and Odor Elimination

The initial odor/smoke is generally not dangerous to the average person but can be irritating. Following the empty "burn-off" cycle is the most effective elimination strategy.

For sensitive individuals, maximizing ventilation is key: open windows and always use the exhaust fan during the burn-off.Odors and Smoke During Self-Cleaning

The high-temperature self-clean cycle produces heat, smoke, and odor by incinerating food soils.
Clean Sooner: Run the cycle before the oven becomes excessively soiled to reduce smoke and odors.
Ventilation is Essential: Maintain a well-ventilated kitchen during the entire self-clean cycle.
Do Not Block Vents: Proper airflow is mandatory; never obstruct oven vents.
Door Gasket: Do not clean or damage the door gasket, as it is vital for the high-temperature seal.
Prohibited Use of Aluminum Foil or Liners

CRITICAL WARNING: Never line the oven bottom with aluminum foil, foil-backed paper, or commercial oven liners.
Damage Risk: This traps heat, creates hotspots, and can cause irreparable damage (chipping, melting) to the oven finish.
Odor Risk: Trapped debris/grease can decay rapidly, causing persistent odors.
Airflow: Do not completely cover oven racks with foil, as this impedes essential airflow for even cooking.

Amazing performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Gas freestanding range is absolutely amazing. The performance on this stove so far has been great. Looks super durable and best part is that it’s energy efficient which is a great money saver. You need to turn nobs to turn stove on which is great as a safety precaution as I have a small toddler that likes to play with things around the house. The look of this gas range is also super nice and makes your kitchen stand out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this range! Seems durable, looks sleek and easy to clean. It heats up quickly and I like that it tells you the temp as it’s preheating. The burners are nice also. Overall would recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sleek design and works well. The door could be made a little more sturdy than before. It fits nice in the space and looks great. The top gets dirty pretty fast and seems hard to keep clean

Solid product esp for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros
The glass on the door going from edge to edge looks sleek and is great for cleaning except for the ridge at the bottom of the door that acts as a gutter for anything that drips down the door and will quickly get filled with gunk. It’s one of those areas you’ll use a flathead screwdriver and a rag to try to clean the deep V groove out, but it will never by fully clean :(
preheat frozen feature for lasagna and pizza is awesome.
The controls are very intuitive and simple.
The bottom of the oven is a flat tray that is easy to clean.
The grill pattern on the top overlaps and makes it so there’s no straight seam and looks slick
Cons
The door hinge makes it, so you can’t keep the door open perpendicular to the oven, it springs up so the door is always add an angle. And when you let it try to spring closed, it only gets close and stays cracked.
The knobs are shiny and feel cheap. For probably the same cost to manufacture, they could’ve made them feel more like a mid range oven.
The knobs don’t turn 360°, if you are in the farthest position  (lo) you have to turn it all the way back through high and started to get off
The metal around the upper display feels very basic. This is great if you want a minimalist view, but it makes it look cheaper.
The burner covers catch liquids instead of dripping them off so they collect more food
The metal area underneath the burners has three ridges, which seems unnecessary and creates more grooves to clean

What a difference, smart and so effective.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fantastic and functional gas-free standing stove from Whirlpool looks great in my kitchen!
The stove has 4 different-sized burners which make it easy to cook since it lights up fast. The elegant, black, and stainless steel design matches my modern kitchen. The oven door has a slow-closing option so it closes quietly and softly. We are a family of five, parents who cook every day for three teenagers. Having a practical stove is important, so we can prepare meals every day fast and easily. We are very pleased with this Whirlpool gas range, it has so many features, including baking and broiling. No preheat mode is required, has a self-cleaning mode, is energy efficient, and the oven is big enough to have two backing sheets or dishes.
I love the Cast Iron Grates top, it's sleek and the same size as the whole stove. The only thing that I was not pleased with was that when I had to clean the top, I had to take both grates off the stove so that could clean it, it would not stand alone. I would highly recommend it.
