Great induction cooktop with cool features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our previous cooktop had coil burners and was original to the house which was built in the 60s. At the base it worked well enough to heat and cook our food but it was difficult to clean. Unfortunately after a few months the two front coils blew up. We were fortunate to be able to obtain the LG 30” Smart Induction Cooktop with UltraHeat™ 5.0kW Element to test and review. In my opinion, there doesn't seem to be much functionality with the ThinQ app other than notifying you if the stove is on or a timer is finished and being able to update the firmware. The Backlit SmoothTouch glass controls are nice but there is a learning curve. It takes a little getting used to when pressing the controls. The Boost Mode boiled water very quickly. The Flexible cooking zone allows for a larger cooking area or oddly shaped pots and pans. This new cooktop is sleek and stylish and helps make our kitchen look a little more modern.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my new LG cooktop and after a little unplanned electrical work finally powered it up. It is sleek looking and super easy to clean, just a quick wipe down with a wet cloth and all the cooking stains are gone. This cooktop heats up 10x faster than my old natural gas range, I can get a sear on a steak in about 2 minutes including heat up time and haven't had a single problem with any of my existing cookware not being induction compatible.
We also tried a breakfast griddle on the double square burners and it performed flawlessly, one side hot for sausages and one side medium heat for pancakes made for a quick and easy breakfast prep.
Overall this is a huge upgrade for my kitchen and I can't believe I slept on induction cooktops all these years, makes the gas range feel like I was using an antique in comparison.
I'd recommend this upgrade to anyone and am thrilled with the performance, ease of use and cleanup of this awesome range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced the original electric coil cooktop (over 40 years old) with this sleek new induction cooktop. It took a little bit of getting used to but after a few uses the interface is intuitive and easy to operate. So far we've had great success cooking on it, the temperature stays constant and boost mode gets water boiling ultra fast. Overall, we are very happy with this upgrade and look forward to many home cooked meals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had the new cooktop for about a week. It was very easy to install and hookup. I installed the app on my mobile device and added it to my google home app. Installation of the app and home setup worked without any issues. Using the cooktop is great. I've never seen anything boil water so quickly. The first day we had it, my wife made a big pot of chili, and she had the cooktop on for at least 6 hours during the process. It worked great and cleaned up easily when a pot boiled over. The one thing to be aware of is that not every pot and pan will work with induction. We had about 3 pans that will not work, because they are aluminum. I read that you can pre-check if a pan will work, if a magnet sticks to it. Overall it is a great addition to our kitchen, the only problem is that now my wife wants other new appliances to match.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first ting I noticed is that this LG Induction cooktop dropped right into the counter top opening from my 20 year old unit. Just wire it in and you’re ready to set up.
Connecting this smart device to the LG control app was easy with the QR code and step by step instructions on my phone. Physical Touch Controls are intuitive and hidden until needed.
The cooking surface can accommodate 6” to very large odd shaped pots and pans. Be aware, that to work with these induction elements the cookware must be compatible. Best way to test this is with a refrigerator magnet. If the magnet sticks to the bottom of the cookware you are good to go.
Induction cooking heats up the pan and not the cooktop. This means that all the heat is applied to the food in the pan. Best example is how fast this unit can boil water. Better than any other electric or gas cooktop that I have experienced.

Love my new cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We moved into a new house last year, and it had an old style electric cooktop with the coil type burners. I was used to using a gas stove, so it took a while to get used to and I never really liked it. When my husband mentioned the LG Induction cooktop, I wasn't sure I would like it, but I am so happy he talked me into it. I love the sleek and modern look of the cooktop on my counter. It is also very easy to use and control the heat levels, not to mention the boost mode that heats food so fast. I can't say enough about how good this cooktop is.
