Very finicky, not 4k

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drone has been a frustrating device. I'm very tech savvy, and this thing is just finicky. You have to calibrate the device before it can work, but sometimes it just won't calibrate, even when following the directions exactly. It took me several days, trying in different locations and weather, before it finally worked and I could fly it. From what I can tell, it just sometimes never gets a GPS signal, and the drone will not work at all without it.
Now, once the drone started working it was actually really fun. The controls are mostly intuitive and it was great. When the drone works, it is awesome. The battery is definitely on the small side, so you can only fly for about 15 minutes before you have to charge it for 4 hours. That isn't ideal.
The companion app to view the camera was simple and easy to use. The picture quality, both photo and video, is very poor though. It has a several second delay between what the camera sees and what displays on the phone. The video is very choppy. It is cool to see from the drones camera, but I would not call it an amazing experience.
Overall, I would say it's not worth the hassle. It can be really cool of it works, but it just doesn't work most of the time. The camera quality is very disappointing, even though it does work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] battery does not last as long as i thought it would. theres definitely a learning curve to learning how to "pilot" it but once you do, its fun!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
