Just had this oven installed last week and I haven't even used it yet. Installer briefly mentioned running for 30 minutes before first use to burn off the smell??? There is no instruction manual with the unit so I need to contact GE to send me one. Quite unhappy with the racks. My previous GE oven had 3 gray/black racks that were very heavy duty and one was a rolling rack that I used 99% of the time. This oven only comes with 2 and they are silver and look and feel cheap. The online pictures show gray/black racks and then another picture shows silver racks so the pictures are deceiving. I hope these racks hold up like the heavier duty ones I previously had did and it's a shame that is doesn't come with the roll out rack. I told the installers to keep the one from my old oven and I'd re-use it. Well, it doesn't fit. It's not wide enough to sit on the side guides. This is an exact replacement oven and they can't make the racks from one model fit a newer model. We'll see how long this oven lasts. I have been seeing terrible reviews since I purchased and had to wait 2 months for this oven as it went on back order AFTER I ordered it. The new racks have some kind is residue on them and they don't even look new. Maybe a cleaning cycle is needed. Shouldn't have to do that on a brand new oven.

Electronic issues create a non-working oven

Not impressed, like old model better. This one gives an error message that the door is not closed (but it is), and I've done the reset and it worked a few times, but now that doesn't work leaving the new oven worthless

where's my rebate

Looks nice, performs poorly

This cooktop is extremely unstable and unreliable. Some burners cook much faster than others, and the burners frequently turn off at random despite induction cookware being used. The cooktop looks very nice, but performs poorly, not what should be the case with a Profile appliance.

Faulty electronic panel?!

I finally have a new 30” GE oven installed after 4 service calls. NOW The control panel does not light up - cannot see numbers or settings! I have the 5th appointment in a week. ( 2of previous involved delivery).
This experience with GE has been terrible - after years on being a GE customer I would not order another product in the same manner. I hope there is a reasonable solution that does not involved 2 more service calls!

Since it did not come with a printed user manual, we have not been able to enjoy all the features. It is too inconvenient to try to download a manual and use it while also preparing food
