Great Oven!

Love this oven. You can choose between convection and conventional oven on the top oven - the oven also has a proof setting which I love when I'm making bread. You can start the oven remotely which is helpful if you want to start it on the way home so you can throw something in. It's been really great!

Excellent Built in Double Oven

This oven replaced an 8 year old oven by another manufacturer. The old oven was noisy; this oven is very quiet, both when it is heating up and when it cools down. The old oven didn’t heat evenly, even on convection bake. This GE oven isn’t perfectly even, but it is just about; virtually no issues when cooking cookies. The only complaint, and it wasn’t enough of a complaint to change the overall rating, is that it is slow to heat up. The old oven had a rapid preheat option; this one doesn’t. The self clean feature works very well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GE Wall oven

The unit cooks the food great. I feel like it takes a long time to preheat to desired temp. I do like the sleek digital display that disappears when not in use and the remote start/stop.

No issues to report

Wall oven was delivered in perfect shape ahead of the time expected. Installation was simple and quick. So far, the ovens have performed as expected. It’s only been three weeks so it’s too early to comment on reliability and cleanablity. At this time, we are very happy with the ovens.

Good with a few minor issues

Seems to work well. Two complaints-
1. Smoked up the kitchen the first time I used the broiler. Not sure if I had the food too close to the element or the oven was burning something off.
2. The trays scratch the ceramic coating when they are moved in and out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

junk - and service couldn"t fix the first visit. other than it's reliability, it would appear a competent oven.

New oven
on April 2, 2024

I absolutely loved my old GE oven. This new oven does not bake the same. My cookies I have been baking for years now come out flat. This new oven takes much longer to preheat, 25 minutes. I had to purchase an oven thermometer because when the oven says it is preheated, the thermometer says it is not preheated ready, by 50 degrees. I have tried the convection only once and my cookies were still raw when they should have been ready.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend doing the bake test to ensure your oven is heating properly and evenly. Please see the article on our website below for more information: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16653&_ga=2.113610247.1888700939.1712150785-1342374613.1688136512
Gas and electric ovens will cycle on and off throughout the cycle to maintain the set temperature. When the oven temperature has dropped below the set temperature, the oven cycles on again to heat and will then cycle off again once it is higher than the set temperature. The goal is to maintain an average set temperature, but you will see a normal swing in temperatures throughout the cycle. This is typical of ovens, and is factored into how recipes are created and used.
The amount the oven will cycle (either higher or lower than the set temperature) will vary, and each individual unit can be different. While we cannot provide exact temperature fluctuation ranges or variance, temperatures may vary from the set temperature by + 30 degrees to – 30 degrees. The temperature swing can also vary by how and where you are measuring the temperature in the oven, room temperature, door openings, etc.
If you continue to experience issues, we recommend contacting our service department at 1-800-432-2737.
