Great replacement for our 27 year old GE.

We’ve been using our new GE electric double oven now for several weeks and are very pleased with its performance. It’s great to have a stainless steel double oven that now matches our relatively new GE fridge. One of the nicest things, so far, is the large windows in the oven doors, and lighting inside, that allows us to easily see a roast or a pie inside from start to finish. The controls are easy to use, and we will soon use the probe in the top oven for a roast or some of the other features. One tiny improvement in the design would be to make the oven’s timer/signal sound adjustable to an even higher sound level.

We replaced a 32-year old GE double oven with this one and had high expectations for it based on the reviews we read. Never had a service call on our original oven. Here's the reason for the mixed review. first the good. We bought the oven and had it installed in preparation for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving day was the first time we used it. We cooked a turkey in the upper convection oven, which turned out delicious. We used the oven thermometer and set the timer - the turkey was cooked perfectly in the time allotted. Now the bad. We used the lower oven to cook several side dishes over a period of 40 minutes. After placing a covered dish in the warm lower oven, the interior glass shattered spilling glass all over the bottom of the oven. Thankfully the covered dish was not affected and we used the upper oven to finish heating it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The 27" double wall oven is nice but...

27" double wall oven is very nice and looks great! We give it 4 stars because the width of the actual cooking interior is smaller than our old 20yr old Whirlpool 27" oven. We cant fit the large turkey pan into this new one width wise as it is about a half inch short. We can still place inside at an angle. The convection oven up top is nice and the wifi technology for it is nice. We haven't tried the cooking probe yet, but plan to do so in couple of weeks. All in all, so far we are very happy with this GE double oven and is very quiet, but takes a little longer to heat up, but the exterior is not hot at all to the touch so it is insulated very well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor quality. Features don’t work

One month after the warranty expired the oven completely shut down when I used the self clean feature. The doors were locked and the control panel would not work. The repair technician had to carefully break in to get the doors unlocked to remove the oven to get to the circuit board. Received the new circuit board and I’m waiting for the technician to come back to replace it. I have been without my ovens for a month and have had technicians here 3 times to resolve this. I have not received the total cost for the repair but I’m sure it is adding up. A brand new oven should not shut down using a standard feature. These ovens replaced 40 year old GE ovens that never needed repair but I won’t buy GE again.

The oven is great! It heats up quickly and the cooking process is even and finishes accurately. I love the clean glass display screen look! I Roasted a prime rib in the confection upper at 350 and roasted potatoes and dinner rolls from scratch at 400 at the same time. the oven never missed a beat! everything came out as planned and on time. love the oven!!
