After our previous 23 year old double oven gave up the ghost and it was time to replace it, the obvious choice was our GE purchase primarily because it was available. My wife bakes a lot. She appreciates the even heating, the lighting is great, the intuitive controls. I hope we get 23 years out of this one.

Easy Installation

This unit was an upgrade for an oven of the same profile, much older, and had been out of manufacture for several years. The fit was as we expected and required no modifications. My wife has prepared several meals using this appliance with exceptional results.

Awesome look. Good balance of classic and modern design. Easy to use even for the technology illiterate lackeys like me. Heats up fast and cooks evenly. Very satisfied. Had it for a month now no problems.

We just had our oven installed even though we purchased it a month ago. We had to rebuild our cabinet for it to fit. Installation was smooth. I do wish the owners manual came with the appliance rather than having to look it up online. There were no instructions on inserting the expanding rack (still not sure what is for and how to use it). We turned on the oven and did have a hot iron smell but that was normal. Has a lot of bells and whistles that I don't know if we will ever use but it was the only unit we could find in stock.

It fit the space....

Overall it is fine. I had to buy this one because it fit in the space I had. I find that i need to cook most items longer than the recipe. The issue I have is the semi permanent rack on the top oven that scratched up the sides upon removal. GE is supposed to call me back to repair it, but of course, have not heard a word from them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice oven

I like the convection mode on the top oven. Wish both ovens had it. Bakes evenly. Broil unit is totally different from my old oven and it’s been trial and error getting things cooked right. Seems to take a long time to preheat. Like how racks are smooth.
