The oven is preforming very well it was a small learning curve to go for a conventional oven to a Convection oven with the GE oven. The no preheat air frier works great and the oven itself as a clean and modern look, and installation was easy as well. I am looking forward to using the oven in the future

Very good oven, reasonably quiet.

The user interface is sometimes too sphisticated, leading to errors. The timer needs to have 2 sets of two modes: One control for start now or start after preheating is done, and one control for turn oven off at the end or just sound the alarm and keep the oven on. The other issue is having a repeat of the menu under "convection". It would be better to choose regular/convection, with the default settable under settings, and then have one menu with Bake etc. Another issue is the registration and WiFi interface - the 5000 series supports Bluetooth and has a much better and more streamlined process. I had to call support to navigate the WiFi connection, and I am an electronics engineer.

A couple of things I would change
on May 13, 2026

The oven is good but there are a couple of things that I would change if I could. It takes quite a while to pre-heat and you can't use the air fryer without wifi which is so weird! What if you were elderly and didn't have wifi, you can't use it. Not good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We’re glad to hear you’re happy with the wall oven overall, and we’d like to provide information about your model. Preheating may take about 15 to 20 minutes. Factors like the room temperature, the number of racks in the oven, etc. can affect how long it takes to preheat. If you think the oven is taking too long to preheat, we recommend turning off the circuit breaker to the wall oven for about 30 seconds before turning the breaker back on, to reset the unit. More information about preheating taking too long is available at this link: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16540.
Regarding No Preheat Air Fry, we can advise that model JTS5000SVSS would only need to be connected to WiFi once to download that feature. While we recommend keeping the wall oven connected if possible, so it can continue to update and optimize over time, a constant WiFi connection is not needed for that feature.
We're confident your wall oven will serve your needs well going forward, and if you ever need assistance we're always here to help.

Miss my Previous GI Oven
on May 20, 2026

This was bought to replace my first GE oven which was close to 30 years old. I will be honest and say I miss my old oven. The clock display was so visible, this one is not; the settings are all cencors which I dislike; the time it takes to get this oven to the temp set takes much longer. I have only used the baking setting and frankly I cannot taste anything different from the previous oven. Overall, disappointed for the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If your oven is cooking too slow or too fast, the oven thermostat will need to be adjusted, calibrated. For the first few uses, follow your recipe times and temperatures carefully and use the rack positions recommended in the Cooking Guide in your manual on page 17 and 18 at the link: https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--4mtK4YaA--/c382856e887fffb7eec7ecafd0c79b9cef19f911.pdf. We also have an article with more information and tips to try at the link here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16839&_gl=1*. If the issue continues after troubleshooting, we recommend reaching out to our Bodewell technicians and calling 1-833- 4BODEWELL or visit this site: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service.

Very nice modern oven. It cooks well and evenly. The steam clean works well. Do not use the high heat oven cleaning method. It will destroy the motherboard.
I would recommend this to a friend!
