Air fry don't work unless share pers info in app

I think it is unethical that they tout the Air fry option and you can't air fry unless you sign up for their app... Give them all your information, allow them to share it with everyone in the world. Why don't they disclose that to get this feature you need to do this? It really isn't a feature unless you pay with your private information. Shocking and obnoxious. Not in the manual either. Not quite transparent! Hidden "cost" . VERY slow to preheat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We would like to help and provide some more information. The air fry feature does require that you’re connected to Wi-Fi. We have more details about this in an article on our website that we will link below for you to review. https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=000061093
We also have an article on our website to help with the slow preheat time that will be linked here for you to view. https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16540

Cleaning

I have heard that to use the "self-cleaning" part could cause the oven to burn up/disintegrate. Is this true or is this AI generated story?
Response from geappliances.comBy Adrian, GE_Appliances, February 17, 2026
The Self-Clean cycle will not cause the oven to burn up or disintegrate. Our products are designed with durability in mind, and we use high-quality materials to manufacture our appliances. You can rest assured that each feature on this appliance is thoroughly tested prior to the launch.

Looks good, mediocre performer

Oven looks good, nice roll-out rack, BUT warm-up is very slow, sensor consistently reads far under actual temperature (as verified by several oven thermometers) for at least 20 minutes, despite having been replaced under warranty- we just gave up calling for replacements as they insisted that was normal. The sensor under-reading is bad in convection mode as well, so I seriously doubt the "no-preheat air fry" claim. SLOW-HEAT would be more accurate.
The convection fan transmits a vibration into the wall that is audible in the room behind it. Very annoying. Obviously proper isolation of the oven was not incorporated into it, or was not required during installation.
Our previous 25 year-old GE electric ovens were far superior to this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

There are troubleshooting tips for the oven taking longer to pre-heat on page 23 of the Use and Care Manual here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--JPIPaXTE--/038550718b2d2586236313a79cb45bb8bda5ebe3.pdf.You do have the ability to adjust the overall oven temperature, which you can learn more about on page 9 of the same Use and Care Manual previously linked. There are descriptions of normal operating sounds in this article on our website: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16945. Off to a great baking start!

We've had our new wall oven for just a few weeks, and we are completely satisfied. Fit and finish are very good, and it is quiet while heating and cooling. First batch of cookies were beautiful! The racks are a little difficult to adjust. We are looking forward to getting better acquainted with the appliance.
