Not what I expected

I have a mac pro desktop and macbook air lopatop which connect to the printer wirelessly. Unfortunately, even though the printer is connected to my wireless network, I get error messages saying it is not connected. Any fix is temporary. Auto-on feature rarely works. Want to download the manual? Instead of a simple pdf, I am forced to install an entire program to my computer.

Wish I spent my money on something else. This thing has caused me nothing but headaches for mediocre printing.

Service Much Better Than Printer

This is my 2nd Pixma MG 3120/3220 printer. Both had the exact same problem. They failed to properly intake the paper from the tray at least 75% of the time. The upside to this is that the customer service provided was better than you can imagine. Both times, Canon sent out a refurbished printer the same day. Quite honestly, I wanted to upgrade but they said I had to keep the same model. The Pixma MG3220 is not a reliable printer in my multiple experiences but Canon's response to any problem makes it well worthwhile to buy any of their products.

I thought that Canon printers were some of the best. This printer has led me to question that. The printer eats ink! Once a page it printer there is nothing to hold it so papers fall to the floor!!!
Cons: Slow Print Speed, High Ink Consumption, no tray to hold printed paper

I have had this printer for less than 2 months and it has not worked properly since purchasing. All diagnosis say the machine is working properly, but jobs collect in print que and are not processed. I've used both USB port and wireless.
Pros: Lightweight/Portable
Cons: unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big Performance - User Friendly

This is my first wireless printer. So I was hesitant about going Wi Fi. But I have to say the installation was simple. My PC and Ipad recognized the wireless device almost immediately. I did not have to touch the modem at anytime. The enclosed Canon CD Rom used for installation was very user friendly. It gave step by step detailed information during setup. The whole thing took about 10 minutes to install. As easy as the new ink cartridge setup is. That took me longer to figure out than the entire wireless installation. The print speed is much faster than my old Canon Pixma MP470. The print quality is also so much better as well. But the scanner speed seems slower than my old canon. Especially using custom settings. I am glad this is only a two ink cartridge printer. Since I am not a big fan of the six ink cartridges system. I also prefer the two ink Canons because the inks are easier to find at your local retailer. I had a question for tech support about the alternate drivers. It was answered quickly and intelligently. I have always used Canon Printers and recommend them. They offer fine quality and great customer service.
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: slow scans
I would recommend this to a friend!

Doesn't recognize new ink cartridge (and too expensive at that). Paper jams easily. Other flaws too numerous to go into in this limited space. I would have taken this printer back, but I received it as a "Mother's Day Present". I have to wonder - what was my daughter thinking???
Cons: Slow Print Speed, Large Footprint, High Ink Consumption, unreliable, Flimsy Construction, too many other flaws!
