Nice performer

Very good printer. Seems better overall than other printers I've had - ink seems to last longer; from loading paper tray is a first for me, as well as being wireless. Everything works great. Usually don't spend a lot for a printer, so this one seems like a really good value.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, Low Ink Consumption, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

It was a good printer until first ink ran out, Now I have 3 new Canon cartridges that do not work or sputter. For the price of the cartridges, I could have bought the unit again
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: High Ink Consumption, unreliable, does not recognize new canon ink
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

wireless is a joke

Tried a wireless connection so many times, I finally gave up. The access point (WPS button) is on the 3rd floor, I am on the bottom level and alone. Lost count of number of times I've climbed the stairs trying to make the wireless connection work. Went to help pages and everywhere I could think of. Other sites have mention problems with setting up wireless by the purchasers.I should have listened ! What a huge waste of time. Will give this to local thrift store since I must have wireless. Back to searching I go and this time I will pay attention to the reviews of other purchasers !
Pros: Compact Design
Cons: Difficult Setup
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So Disappointed
on November 8, 2014

Have had this printer for about a year or a little more. It gets relatively little use. So far, even with relatively little use, it has had nothing but continual issues, first with wireless capability, then when just printing wired, then with error messages about everything: Ink, paper feeding, etc. It is an endless, endless list. What a poor experience.

Broken Wifi / Scanner / Ink Replacement / Duplex
on December 2, 2015
Posted by: Tiernan
Wifi:
The wifi feature of this printer is lacking, not sure what the issue is exactly but it will only connect 5% of the time. Also the driver install cant find the printer on the network even if its been added as a device on the control panel. Therefore new drivers cant be installed without a USB connection. I dont use the printer often and almost every time I do I have to reset the wifi settings. Finally the scanning feature has never worked over wifi.
Scanner:
So far I have only managed to scan once from the printer to my laptop, it has never worked since.
Ink replacement:
Constantly throwing up various error numbers regarding the ink cartridges.
Duplex:
Works randomly and will only ever do a max of one page then jams. This is something I know a large majority of users suffer with also.
Fixes I've done so far:
Countless ink cartridge cleans (both cartridge and receiver)
Countless driver re installs
Countless wifi resets (sometimes giving up and digging out the usb cable again)
Replaced the retaining clips that allow the duplex printing to take place
Replaced several ink cartridges (after the third set tested in another printer to find them over half full)
Summary:
Awful printer that should have had a product recall.
