It really works!

Love it. Doesn’t stink, and keeps the mosquitoes away. so happy not to be covering myself in DEET just to sit on my deck.

Amazing results

A friend told me about the Thermacell when I told her I can hardly go outside in my garden anymore. I am such a mosquito magnet! I was skeptical but ordered it because I'm willing to try anything. As soon as it arrived, I set it up out on the patio and went back inside for 10-15 minutes to allow it time to create my "dome of protection". I was able to sit out on my patio for 2 hours and came in completely unbitten. It was amazing! I've used it several times since with the same result. My sister just ordered one today after I told her about my experience. She can't wait for it to arrive!

A Must Have!

I saw the patio shield advertised on sale a few months ago. I had never seen the product before, so I did some research. Despite the praising reviews, I was skeptical. Mosquitoes love me. Whenever I am outside during the summer, I inevitably get swarmed and end up with several bites that itch for days. But despite my skepticism, I decided to try the product since it was on sale. Using it for the first few times, I thought maybe we weren't having as many mosquitoes this season since we weren't getting "bugged". But then we took it to a party across from a park. Not a single mosquito bothered us the entire humid evening (until the propane ran out...oops!), then we noticed the mosquitoes immediately. I have yet to receive a bite while using this product. It definitely works and I have recommended it to anyone who will listen.

Will not stay lit

I used this for about 4 weeks. When it stays lit it works but as the weeks passed it simply would not stay lit so it does not work
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Did not work at all, returned it the next day

I had read a lot of good reviews about this and so decided to buy it for my family for the Canada day long weekend, when we all travel up north and there are tons of bugs. I first set it up on the patio, it was turned on and had the light glowing. Left it on for over an hour and saw no improvements with the mosquitoes whatsoever. We were all still being swarmed by mosquitoes and eaten alive. It was not windy and there were visible fumes coming off of the machine but it was not keeping the bugs away at all. Later that night, we tried it again outside while we all sat at the bonfire. We let it heat up for 1 hour beforehand. It was still not effective at all, within 5 minutes we were all being eaten alive so we had to go inside. I am very disappointed that this product did not work at all and I am starting to think that all of the good reviews must be fake. Returned it the next day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1) Please ensure you see a small light through the view hole to ensure the device is on - and stays on. If the light goes out, you'll have to press "start" again.
2) If your device will not turn on, please let the fuel flow for 2 minutes without pressing start. This can purge any dust or debris that may have settled inside of the device.
If this doesn't solve the problem, please contact us.
